About $60, $20ish filter, couple more bucks for o-rings and junk, 3 quarts of oil, and an hour of my time. |

$136 at an Omaha Buell dealer. Only problem: I saw a XB9 CityX there, and that thing is a little jewel. It's destined to be a classic. But there's no way I can bring home another one of these... |

Cost of oil and filter...still waiting for a list of "critical fasteners" from the factory. |

I do pretty much all of my work myself so I don't actually need them to do anything except fix the few broken bits (speed sensor, broken brakelight switch, reflash) so, I am wondering what all they do in the 1st service. The service check list in the manual is pretty simple and I cannot see that costing $200. |

Its about $60 in materials, so that leaves $140 for labor, tax, shop supply fees, and such. A little on the high side, but I feel $200 is a fair price for the service, especially near me where building rent and land taxes are insane. |

Hmm I thought all the dealers threw it into the sale. Guess I got lucky. |

I can't imagine many offering to throw it in, unless of course you ask as you're about to finalize your OTD number. Then the chances go up considerably ... $0 works for me! Mike |

honestly some of the services wont be too expensive....however I believe its the 20,000 Km services that will be expensive. the tech has to rotate the motor down to change the front spark plug and check valve clearance. You could always ask them to not do that though. but i wouldn't recomend that. |

I was quoted $130.-150. yesterday at the dealer, but as long as it doesn't void the warranty I'll be doing it myself. They did tell me the 20,000 service would be pricy since the system said it was a 4-5 hour job. |

Labor made up $150 of the service cost. The rest was filter $20, synoil $30, sealing rings 10, then of course tax is the rest. So it would have cost me $50-$60 but the bike is new and I didn't want to miss anything on this one. Plus at less than $5400 OTD why not. |

Quote I got was $235. I'll do it myself. I have everything collected except for the o-ring. I'm going to recycle that. |
