Finally got the bike into the shop yesterday. I told the dealer that I would be calling Harley Customer Service first thing Monday morning. I've had enough. P0628 Fuel Pmp Sys Err, P0087 Fuel PR Sys ERR and P0193 Fuel PR SYS ERR. This is the 3rd time that I've been left on the side of the road and will give me about a bit over a month with no bike. I read up on the Lemon Law and this is it. I forgot about how many times I had been back for the turn signals. Then on the way riding to the shop, the bike is running great again. I'm at a point where I'm afraid to get far from home on it for fear of being stranded. Will keep you all posted on what happens and I know it will be a fight but what can I do? |

Im filing a suit in small claims court tomorrow morning. I spoke with a Harley Rep in person on Thursday and he was ZERO help what so ever. I drive an 09 1125cr and I have had every problem except the turn signal issue. The problems I have had are as follows, 1. Fuel pump error code, excessive fuel from over flow tube, and poor fuel economy. 2. Clutch weep leak 3. Ghost neutrals in the higher gears 4. Service now code randomly comes on 5. Front caliper locked up Since Harley is offering zero help and the dealership is friendly but helps very little, I have no other choice but to file with my local court house. They are currently in violation of FL statutes Ch.681.111 I am looking to get as many of us on board as possible. We don't have to let this happen any more! Its time to stand up for whats right, whats fair, stand up for what we paid for! I dont know about you but I didn't buy a Buell to have it live in the shop or in my garage waiting on parts! Stand up and fight with me! Email me @ buellr6@hotmail.com if your with me. |

Today I took my 1125CR out and I noticed fuel dripping from the overflow tube by the passenger peg when I parked it. Is this normal? It happened again when I got home. Also my fuel light kept coming on/off when I was near 1.3Gallons. When is the fuel light suppose to come on? I was on a flat surface too. I have't seen any error codes but was just wondering since I have never seen fuel leak out like this before. |

Be mindful that IF (and I damn sure wouldn't, but that's just me) you file in small claims court that the MOST you can recover is $5,000. Think of it . . . if it were me, I'd hand you a check for $5,000, take the bike and wave hasta la vista. Also . . and I've read through it pretty carefully . . . I don't think you can bring an action under 681.111 Unfair or deceptive trade practice.--A violation by a manufacturer of this chapter is an unfair or deceptive trade practice as defined in part II of chapter 501. in small claims court either. But then . . . I am a construction worker. Keep us posted on how you come out. |

the drip is normal it will get better. There are several threads on this. The lemon law applies differently per state I know in NJ you could file and you would win it takes quite a long time though. Also small claims court amounts vary state to state in NJ the max is 15K I am not in the know on Ohio amounts. |

Pretty much my point . . . I read contracts and legal documents daily and am ever writing on contract law at present. I've seen many, many contractors pull the trigger not knowing which was the gun was pointed. I did it myself (most contractors have) years ago when I was screwed on a contract. No doubt about it . . . I was right and they were wrong. Rather than handle it the right way . . I hired and attorney and sued them. Took about a year, cost me about $125,000 (for those of you in Kansas City, this was the reconstruction of Rainbow Blvd in front of the K.U. Medical Center). At the end of the year . . hooray. I won, I beat the SOB's. My check for $11,000 arrived about 8 months later . . while I was still paying attorneys and I never got another contract from any General Contractors in the area again. Small claims courts are not the place to take anything related to a vehicle other than crummy bodywork repair. Read and know the laws . . you can bet your ass Harley-Davidson has. Be mindful you are taking on a group of folks in Dearborn, MI that do these everyday. I'm not saying you're not in the right. I'm saying you may be setting course on the most difficult path. |

Harsh Carter, my condolences. I've had a few issues with my R, Loretta. I have been rewarded for my patience with the ... oh oh, I'm gonna get started. Get her fixed and enjoy the ride. 22.6k miles and counting. Zack |

After a few small fixes including the turnsignals , speedometer failure, cluster failure, warped rotor 1000 miles, and waiting for a good flash, and last of all the clutch weep that never happened but they still did the recall along with brake recall and trans jet done the same time. After all that happened before 8 k . I've enjoyed almost 10k of pure fun . I got the o s b tune recently also. My 08 r is the only thing anymore that makes me give that sick looking grin . Take your drama to court. You most likely will lose. Harley has laywers everywhere. |

well I understand where your coming from as my 2000 m2 was junk,ya flame me if you want but the bike was pure junk. after the dealer having it more then me the first 6 months I just went and traded it off and counted my losses. which is what you should do as well as you won't win a law suit against harley. as long as they are making attempts to fix it. took me 9 yrs to try another buell and no I have 568 trouble free miles fun miles at that. |

He's never going to be happy with it. it's to late. so trade it for something you like. you will spend more on a Att. then just trading it off. |

buzzman....carter....there are many folks that would probably purchase your bike from you and be happy. the issues you have had...are either fixed or being fixed if found...that is buells standpoint if not your local dealer...and if they won't fix it...i will try and find a way to fix it if you get it here. Rock on buell owners! (myself included) |

I did speak to Harley Davidson this morning. They were very nice. Even had record of me speaking to them before about the same exact problem. They said that they will contact the dealership and speak to the higher ups in Customer Service and see what can be done. I told them I want to trade my bike in for something else, and if we couldn't do that I would have to seek action through the Lemon Law. It will work out. I'm not going to continue to pay for something that is leaving me stranded or going to the shop every month. Thats just bull |

That's good to hear . . . . One word of caution . . . take it for what it's worth or toss it in the can. Use statements like "and if we couldn't do that I would have to seek action through the Lemon Law" with some caution. I always go to great pains to not infer or give them any reason to believe I said "and if you don't I'll sue you". The reason is that in many companies the moment you mention a lawyers, taking them to court, suing them and so forth your call is automatically and irrevocably elevated to an entirely different, and sometimes less congenial, group. The folks at Customer Service can work miracles and there are some real pros there. Court |

I would not threaten them with legal action like court said. Doing that may very well leave you with that as the only option. Buzzman, what did they do the two other times it broke down? You really need to include the whole story. |

Court is right. In '07 I purchased a h***a c***c. Always wanted one, but the little bugger was so poorly built that I couldn't stand it. Rather than going back and forth many, many times with the rep, I got rid of the junk and bought something else. You should trade it as it sounds like you've had enough. |

The first time I took the bike to the dealer they thought maybe it had run out of gas. It hadn't. About a week after it did it again and left me on the side of the road. Took it in and they replace the Fuel pressure sensor. Now its done the same thing again. Only this time it had more codes than before. It took them about 2 weeks to get it back the second time. |

Buzzman_45011, Understand. Been there, done that with a few other owners. First things first...SHUT up on this site or any other. Secondly, calm down and deal with CS and said dealer as best as possible. Luck has nothing to do with anything. PM if needed. mm |
