The Memphis Shades mounting kit is #MEM 9890, and the lowers are #MEP 5810. I have these with the tall Parabellum shield. No noise or turbulence, and it's quieter than either of my 2 HD baggers!

It seems that many try all these different windsheilds/brackets with, some, but not a lot of success, until they use some sort of fairing lower. I want to try and make my own this winter. I think, from reading all the windshield posts on this site, that the best thing to do is try some lowers first. Spacing the windshield off the fairing, or cutting some type of hole, can cut down the turbulence, but would also let in more rain. I know your getting wet no matter what, but, a windshield with a hole in it seems to defeat the purpose. I can feel the air coming around the fairing, along side the frame, then running up my chest to create turbulence around my helmet. That seems to be the problem, IMHO. I have the Parabellum 28" and still have a lot of noise. It`s a huge/kinda ugly windshield, and I thought that would solve the problem, but it didn`t.

Last post is picture of left side full lock left turn. You can see the relief I milled out on the inner edge of the deflector along the side of the lower instrument mounting casting to allow for clearance against the frame when turned full lock.

Any good BWB resources for the Memphis Shade lower shields? Want to order a clear set.

Shopguy-10...it may not be your CeeBaileys but the increase of air up around your "tank". Put your hand down there and feel it at 60 and see if that is the source. A fork wind screen should take care of that. That is my next step...and having blocked it with hands it is comfort city with a big screen and that low air blocked.

The thing you have to look for when you mount deflectors is that whatever you wrap around those upper forks might impinge on the wire harness and break wires and also interfere with steering lock to lock turning radius. I had to figure out a method around that problem when installing home-mades on my son's bike. I attached at the bottom of the deflector to the fork leg where there weren't any impingement issues and bolted deflector tops to the home-made wind shield bottoms so that I wouldn't have impingement and steering lock problems at the top of the deflectors.

I just machined custom brackets from some aluminum bar-stock and made the wind deflectors out of 3/8" Lucite. The set up is perfect with no clearance problems. However, I have been down with the H1N1 for the past four days of beautiful riding weather so I have not had a chance to test ride the uly to see if it makes a difference. I checked the wind blast from the frame with my hand like EULY recommended and there was a ton so I think the deflectors will do the trick with my ceebailey. I'll post some pictures as soon as I can get out of bed for more than ten minutes!

Check with your local motorcycle shop. Memphis Shades are available from Parts Unlimited, and other suppliers. J&P Cycles, Dennis Kirk, and others also carry them.

Tried out a 12 inch Cee Bailey's windshield for the Ulysses. It actually is only 10 1/2 inches up from where the original fly screen ends.






I like the look of it more then other 3rd party windshields out there with its curved flair.











I am 6 feet with a 32 inch inseam and it seems to throw air right at my head. If i slumped down ah la crotch rocket style I was totally protected, but who wants to ride like that on a Uly?
Needless to say I removed it and put the original fly screen back on minus the short stock windshield that gets pinned in.






Why didn't I do this before? There is less wind noise with just the fly screen and my bike tops out at a faster speed now. Plus I think the aesthetics of the bike without a windshield is improved. She looks more sexy with less on.. what else can I say... lol

but how do you hang on against all that wind hitting you on the chest at highway speeds?

I am also 6'2" 32" pant leg thinking of buying this windshield.
