Rode the new CR about 80 miles today and noticed a bit of faint scuffing on the tank, most of it came out with Plexus. Does 3M or anybody else make something that sticks to the tank so it stays in decent shape? |

I've been wondering that same thing. I've found a couple of website with tank protectors (stick on, not bras) ... But I'm picky about color match. Even a clear film would be good for me, so long as it doesn't yellow. Mike |

Well, it WAS Buell that came up a few years ago with the "Ride Naked" ad campaign, wasn't it? |

I got the Buell airbox cover mask. Wraps around the back side to keep your balls and belly from scratching anything! http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=1&CategoryID=5&Produ ctID=2238 |

A leather jacket shouldn't do to much to it. Black is going to over time show fine scratches all over the bike. No big deal. To me the stick on covers look worse than the minor scratches they are trying to prevent. You could always buff them out with some sort of swirl remover/ polish. |

If you want stealth type protection, look no further than a sponsor's, clear body panel protection product made for that application. |

Sparky, exactly what I was looking for - Some invisible protection. Looks like I'll be placing my next A S B order ... I should plan ahead and save on shipping! Mike |

I put the high bars on my 1125CR -- problem solved. But if you prefer to dry-hump your tank, the idea of dressing it up in a bra and using some kind of protection makes sense.

Fmax, that might be the funniest reply I'll read all day. I was all up on my tank yesterday ... I caught myself calling it Bitch at one point. Not much for bras, but a cute thong might be just what it needs! Mike |

I had the Pegasus buckle protector on my firebolt but I didn't like the look of it and it would be worse on the CR. Plus when a cager drove over me in february my belt buckle actually went most of the way thru it. |

I work at a car dealership and we do 3M for stone protection. Got our 3M guy to cut and fit a piece to it cant hardly see it and once its all marked up just let the bike sit in the sun for a bit and peel it off and fit a new piece. |
