Buellgrin is back! Congrats. I have been riding the Blast to work this week. Changed out the rear tire on Sunday and needed to scrub the tire in. I do not get as good of gas mileage as the wife. Ulywife = 75 to 78mpg M2nc = 48 to 53mpg Things that make you go hum!>? |

Carlos, that is better that I get. I get about 42 highway of I am running up around 80MPH. On my short commute that I stretch from 4.1 to 9 miles, I get about 30MPG. Granted, I could lose 100 pounds and that would improve things. I think the factory 65MPG rating is on a dyno at 50MPH an 5th gear. |

Success! A co-worker, Jeff, just bought his first motorcycle. Victor at Ray Price treated him with great respect and Jeff did not feel the need to take a shower after buying a new XB12R. He read some info on Jordan while he was there too. He went to 5 different HD dealers and by far his best experience was at Ray Price. Next time I am coming back from Wilson, I will have to make the time to stop in and see this mythical place. |

Hey Fishgutz, Sorry to barge in on your group (I'm from VA) but I wanted to second your co-workers experience. I drove from Richmond, VA to Ray Price to pick up my Uly. They understand Buellers and are top notch. It was a great experience. |

Hey Hillis, I see you are up in Mechanincsville, this Sunday a bunch of us from Hampton Roads is going to be riding to Poes Pub in Richmond. We should get there about 1000 or 1030 you should ride over and hang out for a bit. I see you get your service done at Hampton Roads HD, a few more miles down the road is Southside Harley and Buell and they are much more into their Buell customers than HRHD. ANy how check us out in the Hampton Roads Hooligans Area. Update to you C3'ers the wife is moving down in December to start her job and I should be following shortly there after. We are now the proud parents of a 2009 XB12X (could not resist with the prices). Two things we have noticed 1. I am glad this is not the first Buell I bought because it would probably be the only one I own. 2. WOW!!!!!!!! This thing rocks. Hope to see you all soon Jimmy |

Bishop, When I was buying my Buell back in April, the dealer had a couple 07 XB12X with bags for $10K. But I couldn't get past the Yellow. I know a lot of people like it but that shade just rubs me the wrong way. Sure it is a more practical bike and my family would be more comfortable in the back seat of the Uly. But I just couldn't do it. I do have fun with my XB12Ss. My son is 6'1" so as flexible as he is, his knees cramp up sitting on the back for 30 minutes. Who knows, maybe I'll hit the lottery before they X's are gone. |

PUULEEEZE.. sitting on the passenger seat for 30 minutes does not cramp up the knees. I've ridden as passenger on the 1125R for over an hour and my knees are just fine. |

It is with a sad heart that I give the final report on Matt Britt. Last night at 7:35PM Matt Britt died as a result of his injuries in the motorcycle accident and subsequent infections he could not fight off. He leaves behind his parents, a brother, and many friends. Thanks to all of you who went to your own churches and asked for prayers for Matt. This time the answer was "his work on earth is done." There is a song on Vince Gill's first Christmas album "It Won't Be The Same This Year." I know I will thinking of Matt's family when I hear that song this Christmas time. |

Mark, this is from Twig's wife Patty (ya'll met a while back). Just got home from work. What sad news. How heartbroken this young man's parents and brother must be. As a co-worker of Matt's, do you know if the family checks the email for that address you posted late October? getwellsoonmatt@yahoo.com My condolences to you as well, as it's easy to see by your posts you were Matt's friend. |

On a lighter note, Sunday is Amanda's birthday, which we are celebrating this weekend. I made a cake. I have discovered the joys of peanut butter icing.
She pointed out that we can save the candles, and use them in the opposite order when my birthday rolls around. This put me in geek mode and I started to think. I am 9 years older than her. If you take a number and swap 2 digits, the different between that number and the original is always divisible by 9. That means candle swapping works particularly well for us. Every 11 years we can reuse them. |

Happy birthday Amanda. Peanut Butter Icing? Hummmm. We spent the day at soccer. First year with two teams. The day started with Luke's game at 10am, then moved on to Baylee's games. It was tournament day and the girls made it all the way to final game. We had a 2-1 lead at 1/2 time, but the girls ran out of gas and we gave up two goals the second half. It was a fun day. Then tonight was trophy night and we had both teams there tonight. Since Carlee was as young as Luke, we have been having trophy night at the Pizza Inn in Greenville, but this was the first time with two teams. I was put back with the shear number of players, siblings, friends, parents and grand-parents. I think we estimated over eighty people. I have to admit, as a coach it made me proud. Now Church in the morning, and then ride the bikes. I am almost as ready as Ulywife. |
