Took it out to the 74 hwy here in CA. Turns in well, has enough to pop out to the next curve, and the suspension for the rough! I've had an M2 for some time and thought that was a decent performer for its time but the xb12ss is in another league! Comfy enough too, did 279 miles. The no lash drivetrain does show up a rough handler when transitioning tho ...guess I need more practice! Fantastic bike, glad I bought it. Had a lot of apprehension it might not be that much better than an M2. It is. cb |

Love mine to! No regrets from getting the longer wheelbase model. And yes, the suspension is pretty nice as well. |

Speaking as a satisfied owner of an 2006 XB12Ss, I've rolled up almost 13,000 trouble free miles. I keep reading about and watching XB owners jump ship to the 1125's The lucky ones can afford and have room for both an XB and a 1125. (I think that's what I'd do, so if & when the 1125 is not available for whatever reason my XB would always be ready to go). Unfortunately, I'm not financially able and don't have the room for 2 bikes. After 2 pretty solid weeks of rain here in the Pacific Northwest, I took the XB out yesterday to run a errand to the auto parts store across town. As the bike swiftly put a safe distance between myself and everything else on the road I thought ....this bike dosn't know that Buell is shutdown, nor does it care...This bike just wants to run hard and take me with it.... begging to show me a good time...which it did. Don't get me wrong, I've test rode the 1125 fearful that I'd fall out of love with my XB but that just didn't happen. I would have bought the 1125 first had it appeared earlier most likely, strictly based on its hi-performance pedigree. But after almost 3 years my wife refers to my XB as the "other woman" and the "Affair" continues |

3 years for you to put 13k miles on it? Your wife has nothing to fear. |

Yeah, for me it really is about balance of priorities time-wise & good riding weather too. I don't roll up the miles like some but that's why I never wanted a Gold-wing either. |

Froggy +1 I ride my XB every chance I get! About to roll over the big 10,000 mark, and I bought it new at the start of April end of March. |

I would not get rid of my STT for a 1125, thought about it, but the TT is so comfortable for me. |

Yep, that 2007 TT suspension is so nice it migrated to the Ss models in 08.....at least that's what a Buell rep at the DC show told me. Now take that TT to a dirt/gravel road and have some surprising fun considering the Uly tires are 99% street..... |
