Just bought a 98 S1 and ordered a HSR 42 carb for it. Any ideas for a good starting point for jetting? Bike is stock, besides a V&H slipon and force winder aircleaner. Hoping for a stronger hit with this carb. Thanks |

I'm running a Mik HRS42 on my 01 M2 Cyclone. Seems to be running lean but no promblems. One of the other Buellers said that his was set up for a 1200 Sportie from the factory and that you needed bigger jets for a Buell. Follow the instructions on the Mikuni tuners manual when upgrading your jets and keep a log. If your plugs start fouling then you went too big. Had to add an extension on the choke bracket for the Mikuni choke [enrichener] because the stock bracket for the Keihin was too short. |

You'll get the stronger hit. Did you buy the HSR Quick Kit for the Buell, or the generic Sporty kit? This is important, because the Sporty uses a #20 pilot jet which is waaaay too lean for the Buell. I'm running the stock main jet in my Quick Kit, but sized up quite a bit on my pilot with the Andrews N8 cams and race kit. Don't recall what I sized up to, but I could find out if you need me to. |

Just put an HSR42 (Buell quick kit) on my M2 this weekend. My only complaint is that I waited so long. It was sitting in the box for about a year and a half waiting to be mounted. Simple mounting...love the response. Proarc, you're gonna love it!!! |
