Dana / Steve / Rocco, Is there a suitable camp ground and motel that are close to each other? for those who may want to rent a room and not have a long late ride, to a motel after festivities, |

I really enjoyed the quality of the Sheraton Brookfield at the 25th; however, my wallet really enjoys the Knight's Inn in Racine. OK Crust, Who's making the decisions here? You or your wallet? lol

hey! those are pretty good hotel rates. I was looking into the Geneva Grand Resort in Lake Geneva, (formally the Playboy club) and the nightly rate is $229.00. It does have three championship golf courses on it but it's kinda hard to carry your golf clubs when traveling on a motorcycle!

I think we should try really hard to get a deal worked out with a Hotel IN East Troy. I'm sure they could use the money the town will be losing in taxes with the Factory closing down. Alpine Valley IS located in East Troy. I'll look into whether or not they're willing to deal |

we stayed with the 25e ani at the country in, booked because it was at walking distance from the factory. but little that i know, America is not made for walking people, and to get a beer we needed to go to East troy and that was a very long walk. for sleeping it is ok, but expensive |

Thats just it Rocco. I don't think East Troy can handle as a whole everyone.... or can they??? We also have to take account on the rates. Can they meet most of are out of towners needs.... meaning semi cheap??? Lots of time to work with. Hammering out a date is probably the first thing to do. Giving these guys options next after we do are own homework. |

their rates are not too bad to start with compared to some hotels in the area. I just think keeping it IN East Troy would be cool. Sorry, but I don't want to be riding to Milwaukee or the surrounding areas. But then again, it depends on the rates. |

We'll get figured out. It all come together... it always does. Best thing is for us to get in the same room with our own ideas. Then figure out whats best. Thats why I figured you and I would head up to Steves meeting and get some things pounded out. Then we can come back here and lay it out. |

I kind of like the camping idea, but that Alpine Valley does not look too bad either. Not sure what there summer rates are, but their current rates are not too bad. http://www.alpinevalleyresort.com/room_rates.php |

but what is the Kettle Moraine Adventure Ride? The Kettle is one of our state forests. It has to offer some of the best riding in the State. Also pretty scenic. |

I will be camping as I have done the last three home comings. I have stayed at the country view campground the last two years and will stay there again. There was about eight of us that stayed there this year. Matt http://www.countryviewcamp.com/ |

There is also camping available in the "Kettle Moraine State Forest". Along with the good riding. Just North of Eagle off of Hwy 67. About 20 minutes from the factory. I didn't know there was an "Adventure Ride". I have lived in the area for years. But the long way home on my 12SS is good fun. http://www.dnr.state.wi.us/org/land/parks/specific /kms/camping.html |

I have stayed at the country view campground the last two years and will stay there again. There was about eight of us that stayed there this year. That looks like a nice place. Do you tent or RV? I've got a tent and would be interested in camping at country view. |

Dana, Yeah, it's shaping up to be just like the 20th! Grassroots all the way! I'd be willing to do posters again but I thought somebody else already offered to do posters, etc. It doesn't matter to me either way. If somebody else wants to step up and do posters, that's fine. We don't want to just copy the 20th. The 20th was a classic that can't be copied. 2010 could be another classic though! |
