Well? I know it's not PC but it's what's in my budget right now. Also if I don't like it, it is a whole lot cheaper and easier to remove. If it does grow on me I will PC when I know my job is more stable. The paint is the JD Blitz Blk and it covers good and was a good product out of the can. I was impressed. Same with their primer.
I appreciate any comments GOOD or bad! |

I've seen a couple X1s with the black tail. I like it. I'm not a huge fan of chrome. Good work! Where is JD paint sold? |

John Deere (JD) I found mine at my local JD Dealer. Some say you can get it at parts houses but I had no luck. |

The black tail is sweet, I have been wanting to do mine like that. I also have a swing arm that i am going to do a black powder-coat. |

Thanks for the comments I keep walkin out to the parking lot and lookin at it and each time I like it more and more. I'm definetly gonna PC when the time is right so I don't have to be paranoid about scratchin it. I appreciate the kind words. I was curious because I didn't PC. Jon, |

Looks good. Let us know how it holds up. I'm doing an extra set of bodywork for my S1 with the same paint right now. What's on the swingarm? Is that just masked and sprayed or an added piece? |

Skntpig, I'll tell ya but no laughin. No really It is sorta like grip tape, but its meant for boats. You can run your knuckles acroos it and not lose skin. I used the same stuff for a buckle guard. I found it at my local marine surplus. It is awesome stuff. I put it on the swingarm because I am a heavy equip. mech. and my boots get nasty and I was tired of tryin to get the gunk off the swing arm.

Looks good bro, nice job. I like one off stuff, even if it's just details for function. Did you make the belt guards too? |

Yeah a upper and lower but wasn't likin the bottom to big to actually be functional (ie. level with the belt) So I nix'd it. If I get my foot in that part of the belt I need to stop riding. Thanks for the comments I appreciate it |

I LOVE that black! Had a friend tell me about the JD BB paint a couple weeks ago, but I haven't seen it on a Buell until now. Very cool.. from what I've read online it's pretty durable stuff too. |

Very cool,my X1 has had the black out treatment, including the swingarm. Sooo much easier to clean than lots of polished ali. |

The chrome tail section on the X1 always looked out of place to me. I understand the section is intended to update the Cyclone's unfinished tail look, but it looks better painted imho. |
