Thanks Froggy! That makes me feel much better about my clubman bars! The changeover looks remarkably like hard work, which I'm averse to in all forms. KeS |

Does anyone have the part number for the plastic trim between the fork tubes and headlight/flyscreen? (or possibly filler panels, as noted in the OP)? My CR had the high bars installed when I got it (the '10 kit with the straight cable fittings), and for some reason the unused cable slots really bother me. I could probably figure out a way to mask the slots fairly easily, but I'd prefer a more "official" solution. |

Dwiggs ... they look like 45 degrees .. not straight ... Are you sure the are perfectly straight like the clubmans? You picture looks identical to the 2010 picture. (Message edited by dmhines on November 03, 2009) |

Mine:
My bike was sitting right next to one with clubman bars when I took delivery, and my brake and clutch lines were definitely straight in comparison. I'll have to take another look at the throttle cables to see if they are different. If alternative throttle cables are available, I'll be all over 'em, 'cause my throttle is uncomfortably stiff. |

high bars are on b/o till 11/06(maybe) but all components are current. i ordered every thing today. part # for the throttle cables are the same from the 08 accessory catalog are the same as the 2010 parts manual so if you get a late production date as Miller did you should have the latest (if they changed at all) Dwiggs, # for fillers R m0117.2at L m0118.2at Bob |

put it on dry using compressed air if it fights, then safety wire it. |

Did the handlebar kit on my 1125CR with my brother-in-law doing his at the same time. He is a aviation tech - made my life MUCH easier! We found that routing the hydraulic line for the clutch is very specific. The routing for the throttle cables can be creative. We both achieved excellent throttle characteristics by using a longer route. No binding or throttle problems lock to lock. Overall, I'd rate the kit a 9.5 out of 10. Easy install, (esp with the help of my brother-in-law), MUCH more comfortable riding position for my 57 yo ass, and less of the falling off a cliff feeling when leaning into a fast curve. |

I'll put the pics in as soon as I can. Not much storage space on the CR, I haven't looked for a back pack yet and am looking at the Cortech bag solution for the bike. All that to say my camera is at my brother-in-law's house and I'm drinking wine right now! But the bike is better behaved with the high bars. |

I routed the clutch line exactly like factory. I did mot really see s good alternative for throttle cable routing so I sm curious what you did. |

dregging this back up...i did the swap, by routing the throttle cables high up and having them exit the fly srceen above where they originally com out...they don't stick. I then tie wrapped them to the main bundle in the headlight area I also fitted 2010 cover plates and it is plainly obvious why they are there. The 2010 cable routing is above the 09 route |
