Nope. The fasteners on the 1125's are metric. The Torx fasteners are T30, 6mmx1.0. Which ones do you feel the need to replace? | ||

If stainless steel and aluminum are in contact and moisture is present, the aluminum will sacrifice (corrode). That's not just in the threads, but also under the head of the fastener. That's why motorcycles typically use zinc plated bolts. | ||

Going to SS can be an issue due to galling and strength. A little never-seize goes a long ways to combat galling and di-electric issues. | ||

SS into aluminum should not present a strength issue as the threads on the SS fastener are FAR stronger than threads in cast aluminum. As to the galling corrosion problems, good call on the anti-seize. Another option is thread sealant with teflon. If you use any of these, remember to adjust torque if the specs you have are for dry assembly. | ||

I replaced all the non-critical fasteners (body work, heal guards, etc.) with either aluminum or nylon bolts on the track bike. It saved something like 3 lbs! I'd like to get titanium bolts for the unsprung fasteners like the calipers, rotors and pinch bolts... save another lb or so. | ||
