With Buell the company gone maybe it is time for us as a group to get together and start making / having made the parts we need. There is nothing made for the Buells that cannot be made by a good fab shop. This is a good chance for an aftermarket to really get going. |

Buell is gone, but is Buell Racing? Remember that the 1125rr was not built by Buell but buell racing. |

2010 marketing made no differentiating between Buell and Buell Racing. They were one and the same. |

Steve Anderson, thanx so much for 'coming out' with those juicy ZTL3 details Buellers've had so little recently to ponder & enjoy except lore from the past, so it's super to have an idea of what was coming as our Oct frustrations lessen, we yearn to learn things from you & other Elves to make our 2009-&-earlier Buells perform even better..... please keep the candor** coming, Sir - it's very much needed & appreciated -------------------------------------------------- -------- **within the limits of any non-disclosure, etc. limits you may face |

INSPIRED by Buell's looks into ablation casting, we have followed their lead and are now getting some shareholder-funded research money in 2010 and 2011 to fully characterize the processes/materials for aircraft use. It truly does approach wrought properties in a cast product. Coulda/woulda/shoulda... ...(sigh) |

Steve A. Just to clarify things Brock isn't Bulldogprostock I am a contract engineer as I stated in my previous posts. Brock has much better things to do than worry about last year projects. I sincerely hope Eric, yourself and Buell land on your feet. I have a vested interest I own a Buell. But in my own defense I had talked with people within your platform that did not, at the time share your views on the ZTL2. That obviously changed as the season went on. The target always changes. One more thing 1 championship doesn't assure more. We know we've won multiple championships and every one gets harder. As hard as you work someone else is working just as hard. BST holds world records in vertually every form of motorcycle racing, landspeed, drag and Moto GP and no they aint cheap. I will tell you we appreciated the opportunity to meet and quote our product. |

I don't plan on getting rid of my ZT2L set up which consists of: 6mm disk, Buell race pads, and a brembo MC from a R1. I don't currently have any issues from a performance perspective, my issue is I just bought this bike, which I don't regret, to start racing and as you all know, need parts to continue doing so. I don't have any inside information on the future of Buell racing parts availability, or do this for a living and need Buells contingency $. I do it for the thrill and rush so many of you know and just want to insure this continues to happen on a 1125R. IE I just bought the swing arm kit, one of the remaining 2, last week and today heard I can't get anymore race parts such as the ECM/exhaust from the Buell dealer. I'll call tomorrow to confirm that... But I will digress on the parts situation. I know many of you have success of using the ZT2L system, and going to a dual caliper set up will have it's pros and cons maybe better than the ZT2L, maybe it's a waist of time but you never know intil you try. |
