Congrats JonnyBlaster, SO, did they have any left. I dropped by Allen HD today to pick up some oil filters for the CR and they had 1 lonely 06 XB9 for $3995 sitting in the back. We all need to get together for another TNT ride sometime... |

Congrats everyone on your new purchases. I passed a southbound Black 1125CR on Tin Top Rd just north of Thorp Spring on Saturday about 2:30. Was anyone posting here breaking in their new bike? |

Finally picked up my black 1125R, with fairing, from a dealer in Houston. Anybody up for riding sometime? Now I've had the Blast, Lightning, Firebolt, and 1125R. Quite a collection. |

Me (1125R), Robert from XBLIGHTS (riding my 1125CR), and my bro-in-law hopefully (1125CR), and possibly a few others (coincidentally 1125s) are heading out east on Sunday - anyone is welcome, we don't have a set departure time yet but Robert is leading us out to 429 (Terrell) and who knows from there..... |

We took a ride a year or so ago ( J. Duggar leading ) and we started that way. Only part I remember is 429, so once it dead ends we are heading left and seeing where it goes. If anyone wants to lead and knows a good route feel free. I'm a bit rusty so probably not the best leader. I'm hoping to be on my XB, but I can't get her to stop F'ing up on me..... We will see, good thing my buddy Kevyn has an extra 1125 :-) I think last time with the MC Hooligans we rode out that way and around a town called Edom. Ride safe and see yall Sunday I hope -Robert www.xblights.com PS.. Slowride if you go, leave the hard bags at home. Don't want you taking anyone out while your flying through the air HAHA! |

LOL, just for the record Robert... I swore I wouldn't ever go on Dugger ride again. I almost took him out. He is a very accomplished rider, but was leading a bunch of noobs on a very, very spirited ride. If my memory is correct, we lost two bikes on that ride. In my situation, he just stopped in the middle of the road just after a bridge that had a nasty bump before and after it. My bike got airborne and I came down just inches from his 1125R. Who stops in the middle of the effin road? Anyway, I am game to do a ride with you guys. I will be on the CR, as I decided to leave the goldwing at home. I didn't want to give anyone a complex while I was dropping a knee and passing them on the inside on the wing. |

Haha, I know! Just giving you a hard time :-) duggar is a track guy and think he mainly rides track now. I thought you almost slapped Pete with the bags?? But no doubt, a bunch of rookies going too fast. But I can't say much I was right in the middle too! I'm not even sure if I'll make this ride. My XB's down for repairs, Kevyns gonna let me ride his CR but it's getting that 12K service done and I don't think it will be done til next week. We will see I guess. And by all means!! If you wanna do laps around us on the "wing" do it! You won't hurt my feelings! I know I can't ride worth a shit, HAHA! Plus it's neat to see those big bikes dragging the turns. Me and Kevyn work and know a good amount of biker cops ( moto-jocks ) and there riding skills are just flat out insane!!! It's crazy what they can get those harleys to do! |

Bought a CR on OCT 2nd. Thought I got a smokin deal on it. Two weeks later I found out why. Oh well. I love the bike and I have an instant classic. Nice to know I have some fellow Buellers in the area. |

Micah, you on a CR... Well just stop at the stop signs and wait for the rest of us... I can remember you keeping up with us just fine, while your older Buell was dripping oil on the rear tire, jeez... I've got to put another set of tires on the FireBolt, get it inspected and I'll be ready for a group ride... I've got the tires just haven't taken the time to take the wheels off and get them installed... With the time change I'll be able to find the time easier... Can't go outside and play... Kevin Glad to hear more chatter on the local board... |

Micah, By my saying "instant classic" i was refering to the fact that since the CR was only produced for one model year, us CR owners are a somewhat rare breed. Kinda kool I think. |

Kevin, I would have to say my riding skillz have, um, well substantially improved since we last rode together. In October at the Buelltoberfest in GA, I had the pleasure of backing my Goldwing into a decreasing radius turn and it then pull it out at full throttle.... The Buellers following me asked me how I did it... I just smiled and said I used to ride a tuber. With the oil leaking all over the rear wheel all the time... Haha, I was used to doing that. I do agree Mark, the CR's are an instant classic. All, I just got in from putting a couple hundred miles on my KLR. Most of the roads, say 90% or more were dirt or gravel. Man I love riding a motorcycle. I think I will go back out in the morning too. I haven't heard anything from Robert or the rider for a group thing, so I guess I will go North from 380 (Little Elm) and see what else I can find. |

Yep, got it... Mark, All the good roads, at least in my opinion are along the Red River, OK and AR. Almost all of the roads I did today were North of 380 and were gravel or dirt. I was meaning to get up along the River today, but i got sidetracked shooting some photos of the girls getting body painted at Allen, HD. Anyway, looks like I will be riding out with the Buellers east tomorrow. If anyone wants to come along, PM me or 07xb12ss and we will give you the meet up directions. Micah |

Micah, I can Understand how girls and bodypaint can distract a man. I'll try and get my arse out of bed in time to meet you guys at the walmart at 75 and Spring Creek. Please keep an eye out for the old man on a CR in a red jacket. |

Random: I had an awesome experience with Longhorn HD/Buell down in Grand Prairie on Saturday. That CR I picked up @ Dallas HDB had a dead battery. I tried jump-starting it so I could take it in for service. Don't do that. The computer locked me out cuz it thought I was trying to steal it. Anyhow, I called Longhorn and they sent out a truck (25ish miles) to pick the bike up. For free! A couple hours later, they called me back. Said my bike was done (just needed a battery, surprise) and all loaded up, if they'd like me to deliver. For free! So basically, I sat @ home all day doing whatever, and they did all the work! I think they're my new go-to shop. |

Anybody go to the IMS show this weekend??? We went saturday morning... Bought a pair or real light summer riding gloves... Tried them out on the ride home... Rode the ST as I needed the storage room, had to make a couple of stops on the way home... I thought it was a pretty good show... I didn't even goto the HD booth, although I very rarely do... Obiviously, missed there being a Buell booth!!! But there wasn't any Triumph, BMW, KTM, Guzzi, or Aprilia booths either... Seems like a marketing mistake to cut back on show booths, lots of potential customers walking by... We walked the parking lots looking at the bikes: saw a Lightning, FireBolt, an CR, and a few Ulys... Kevin |

Nope, I didn't make it this year... I took a group of guys from work down to Kerrville, TX and we rode the 3 sisters (335,336&337). I managed to get my goldwing pushed over enough to catch some attention from a local photog. I will post them up when I get the pics back. |

Sorry for the delay guys.... Yep, we stayed overnight. We rode down there on Friday after work, split 2 rooms by 4 people at the Best Western Sunday House and then ran all day Saturday and Sunday. It took 4.5 hours to get home on Sunday. I have all the routes I took that weekend available on .GPX files (Garmin & other) GPS's use these files. Here is the Picture of that file... The roads were great and the guys were slow, but the scenery was beautiful...

Hey Buellers! Wanted to introduce myself. Bought my 08 Uly this spring and have only put about 5k miles on it. I love this bike! I grew up on dirt and have a hell of a time not sticking my leg out in tight turns! I would love to ride with you guys sometime. I am not a knee dragger (yet) but I ride faster than my friend and his Vstrom (ever since he hit a deer on our way to Mena, he follows about 200 yards back. Its like riding by myself) Anyway, I start medical school in May and am currently under employed, so free time during the week is plenty for rides with less weekend traffic for now. My friend and I are planning a trip down to the twisted sisters and camping for about 4 days after xmas when he gets out of school for winter break. Not sure of the weather down there at the time but who cares. So that's me, look forward to meeting and riding! Brad in Farmers Branch |

Brad, Nice to meet chya. You will enjoy the Hill Country for sure. By the way, knee draggin is a state of mind really. You can do it on any bike, including a Goldwing. Here is a few teasers for ya from my most recent trip. I was in Ultra Warp Cruise mode here. The next trip down will be on the 1125 CR. |
