MAP is Manifold absolute pressure. Is this important?? YES very much so, especially since this is a SD type fuel injection... if that sensor is faulty it will make the bike run like poop. It must have that sensor working properly in order to give proper fueling...

No was for what causes the problem? that i do not know.. i would have the dealer check it out for sure...

You might want to check the sensor under the seat, at the rear of the airbox. It has a green o-ring and it s/b pointed down. Sometimes, they have been installed in the clip with the opening pointed up. It can collect water and give false readings.

Any idea of the conditions when it set?
Did you just find it as a Historic?

Have you had the 'noid do its thing or try to?

Yes Noid has kicked in, how do you tell if it's historic or not? Guess the dealer will have to reset it right?

The reason I asked the questions I did, I expect that when the 'noid kicked in You held her at WOT/WFO for a bit, the MAP saw atmospheric pressure and tripped the MAP DTC.

No prob, most likely, the Historics self-reset after 50 clean starts.

Void the 'noid.

Yes I did stay on the throttle when the noid bit me because at that time I did not know what was going on. so after 50 starts if thats what it was it should clear its self?
