I'm not worried about it ... is it a big deal that they flash faster than stock? It's not gonna screw up the lights or electrical system is it ? I need to check again because I could have sworn when I had it out riding the other day they flashed at normal speed while the engine was running. (Message edited by dmhines on October 30, 2009) |

Have you started it since it has been flashing fast? If not, start it, and I bet it will return to the normal rate. Something do with the resting voltage of the battery, or a capacitor discharging or something like that. R |

I have not started it, just installed them today. Damn those are some expensive signals. I paid $22 shipped, but they are nothing fancy. |

you guys need these http://www.v-leds.com/BlinkerWarning-Fix/Turn-Sign al-Fix/6-OHM-50W-2-BULB-LED-p4783296-1-3.html They are flashing faster because they draw less power than the stock signals. I have a set (not these exact ones, but similar) in my suzuki. |

Carbon, Any chance you could take a video? I don't care about the flash rate, I want to see those in action! ac |

Mine still flash faster after restarting. I'm certainly not going to install 4 resistors to slow it down. Not worth the trouble for me. |

OK my take on the stock V/S Carbon's add ons... I know the stock ones are UGLY, that aside.... from Carbon's wife and new CR owner, the stock flashers you notice from a great distance, the add ons... not so much. I am all about hey look at me see the motorcycle coming at you!!!!!! I will never trade my stock even if they look like something from an Ant's Life. Do you want to look cool in your eyes, or do you want that jerk who will pull out in front of you to notice you? The stock may be UGLY but they are noticeable. My 5 cents take it or leave it... T |

I agree in principle, but I *have* to be able to see to my rear - so the stock signals aren't really an option since they're attached to the dysfunctional mirrors. KeS |

The stockers aren't normally flashing when people are pulling out in front of you...generally THEY are the ones turning and you are proceeding straight. ac |

Kevin, I found that the stockers became usable once I went to the high bar. With the clubman bar, I could not adjust them up far enough to use them. Like most sport bike mirrors, they are inboard more than I would like, but the outer half of each one lets me see traffic and the inner half let's me admire my riding apparel. Others have reported success by slightly rotating the clutch and brake levers downwards on the clubman bar. I didn't keep that bar on long enough to try that. |

I've played with all the rotations possible, including rotating the bars upward to raise the mirrors. I had them adequate until I found I'd over-rotated and the perch was bearing on one of the throttle cable adjusters. If I keep them at this point, I'd have to take them apart and figure out how to shim them to be longer/wider. KeS (Message edited by kevin_stevens on November 01, 2009) |

Kevin, Yeah, the mirrors basically do suck. I thought of trying to put the mirror/turn signal assemblies from a Ducati Hypermotard on my 1125CR
Plus, it looks like it would work as a folding army shovel if I got stuck in the woods. |

FYI ... I finally got around to setting up my suspension and just got back from a test ride ... My LED's definitely flash at NORMAL rate when the motor is running. When I got home I left the flasher going after turning into my driveway and killed the engine ... within a few flashes it started flashing FAST. Since mine work fine with the motor running I'm happy! |

Here is what I did with my mirrors and blinkers:
The mirrors and blinkers are Rizoma. Now I can finally see something other than my elbows. |

Yeah, those are the ones I want, too. What are you using for bar ends to mount them to? How well do they work? KeS I'm wondering if these are the same as the Rizomas. They look it. http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=380173095374&viewitem=&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT#ht_1873wt_1164 (Message edited by kevin_stevens on November 04, 2009) |

Those look the same, even the little sleeves look identical. Just make sure your bar ends are very secure. The rizoma mirrors come with metal expanders that make the rizoma bar ends rock solid(rizoma bar ends come with rubber grommets). You should ask if it comes with expanders. Here is what they look like:

I bought a pair, they'll be here tomorrow but I'll be in Ensenada by then. I'll report back next week on how they look/work. Be nice to get Rizomas at half the price. KeS |
