I ordered an 09 1125r on 10/19. I was the 14th person that day at that dealer. They told me they had ordered 15 bikes that morning. I was told that it would be about a week. The next day 10/20 I went in to sign the papers. They then told me that it could be 3 weeks or more. I called the dealer on 10/28 for a status update and was told that they were still awaiting confirmation from Buell. And would call me when they had any information. How many others are getting the run around? Anyone here have an inside scoop? All input is appreciated. Jim |

I envy you. I wish I had the money to even consider getting the run around. |

Buell was building 2010 bikes before and during the shutdown. Why would the dealer be getting 2009 bikes from Buell ??? |

Not all 2009 models have been shipped. Dealers were having a hard time moving them. Hence the discontinuation. Jim |

Silly question, but why wouldn't you go to a dealer that had 1125s in stock? The vast majority of Buell dealerships have (had) some in stock. Price issue? Geographic issue? Personally, the way things are, I would be worried about the dealer not being able to fulfill the order and missing out on this deal of a lifetime. |

Dealer is 30 miles from the Buell factory. He assured me that he could get his hands on one. I have bought 3 bikes from this guy. The other dealers in the area quoted me at much higher prices. But as more time passes I feel the train may have left the station. I'm probably just starting to freak out a bit. Jim |

Should have went to a dealer with bikes in stock, you are playing the lottery when they don't. |

If it makes you feel, better I got a call from Livermore (CA) Harley who said he was getting 6 2009 1125s from the factory in the crates. So I know they are shipping 2009s still. |

I did roll the dice. Hoping to get a high production # bike by ordering. Was going to wait a few years for one as I don't like the thought of buying a 1st or 2nd year model. I have enough bikes to ride right now (4). But with the announcement I wanted to act before it is too late to get one at that price. My brother has a BMW F800st, first year model, with a rotax motor and it took his dealer almost 4 months to sort out his fueling problems. Now I am rambling. Thank you all for your input. Jim |
