Got the bike might as well post some quick thoughts on it. I came from several Suzuki TL1000's, GSXR's, Etc.... to the Buell. The motor on this CR is very nice. Pulls hard and sounds great. First bike that I think I will not mess with the pipe. It is a little snatchy around town but not like the Tl's. I told my wife that the CR is like a TLS that is spot and on some muscle. I think I am going to put the high bar kit on this winter so if anyone knows some deals on the bar let me know. Other than the high bars I think I am going to let this bike alone for now. I noticed slight head shakes, is there a steering dampner that is preferred for this bike? I did have to take it back to the dealer for the back blinkers, they had to put the new model ones on as mine were not working. I asked the kid if it would make the bike faster, he smiled. I am not sure that he knew I was joking around and it was a little awkward but I left it at that. Speaking of awkward I do not have enough money to buy a new jacket so I am left riding a new CR with my blue and white jacket that has SUZUKI blazed across the arms and back. The jacket is warm but I do not want to get the CR confused more than she is. If you see a guy with a Suzuki jacket on a red CR just wave and know that I feel as weird about it as you do. |

people will start taking pics in traffic thinking you are riding a new Suzuki prototype. I get a lot of strange looks at stop lights on the CR. It is a bit snatchy, I snatched the front wheel off the ground just the other day by pure accident. |

I don't buy specific gear but the jacket came with a TLR I bought and damn that jacket is warm, (45 degrees this morning) and driving 25 miles in the cold it could say Vespa and I would still wear it. I noticed the front wheel lofting at take off as well, must be the new blinkers. Anyone around Green Bay that would take me under their arm for a little maintance training, beer of course on me. |

Rombi - I don't ever feel any headshake on mine, street or track - make sure your suspension is dialed it in correctly as it will likely correct the issue. If you need a damper, Ohlins and GPR make one, as I'm sure others. |

Thats funny Rombi I am in the same boat. Had my GSXR1000 upto last fall, and my old black jacket is a little small so I am stuck wearing my blue and white GSXR jacket with suzuki up the arms too. Ohh well better safe than not. |

Most all of my riding clothes (to include my full face helmets) are all Harley Davidson .. Wonder how that will go over?! Mike |

I would set up the suspension (if you haven't) before getting into the headshake. It may go away. There's a nice Buell racing damper for the R, but I don't think it'll fit the CR - maybe with the high bars. What size are you - I have a whole damn closet full of jackets I need to get rid of? KeS |
