I don't know. It's a toss-up between idling off the kickstand onto me while I was talking to some HD pros or going over the bars at a busy intersection. |

blew the ignition fuse; bike died; I rolled onto a sidewalk at the corner of an intersection; swapped out ignition fuse for one of the lights/acc fuses (so now none of the dash gauges work.) Turned the master on, shifted into neutral and pushed the starter... It wasn't in neutral, and swapping fuses disabled the interlock. The bike jumped forward into a lightpost with me struggling to hold on. I managed not to drop it; but definitely a stupid moment. Clutch in every time now! |

Definitely the ride of shame with my XB9 back to the paddock at Summit Point....but at the track, I guess it's 'ok'. Had MANY more embarrassing experiences on my other bikes... |

I did a clutch up wheelie in first in front of some girls, ended up setting it down hard n crushing my boys right in front of them. Not that they could really tell the difference, but my pride, as well as some other things were hurting. |

Thought it was in neutral at a light while waiting to make a left turn...dropped the clutch and bang. Thank god it stalled and didn't run into the car in front of me. From that point on I fully understood that the neutral light, although green and very close to the turn signal light does not flash when the bike is indeed in neutral. Getting onto the expressway in downtown Tampa, there's a long, right sweeping 3-lane wide entrance ramp that traffic does about 20 on. Naturally, I normally take it at 70. I wasn't paying attention until seeing this fat dude on one of those huge Burgman 650 scooters keeping up around the bend behind me. (Message edited by saratoga on October 30, 2009) |

Oh man, worst one: went to an old car show. People everywhere. Parked right up front near the line of cars with my shiny most-awesome Ss. Hotties all around. I flip the kickstand down and smoothly dismount like I'm the coolest mofo there... until I realize the kickstand didn't fully deploy, and the bike falls on me. Struggled for a minute to keep it up, but it was too far gone, 400 lbs with momentum. Bent the shifter and clutch, broke the footpeg clean off. It ruined the whole car show for me because I spent the whole time trying to rig up a footpeg so I could get back home! ~SM |

Sword, that is great! It's funny, because I can sympathize. Back when I first started riding (non-Buell), I went to a local shop to try on some leather track pants. The shop is located on a main road with a tight parking lot and minimal u-turn space. The owner is cool and told me to try the pants on and take a ride to see how I liked them. So, I mount the bike, start making a slow u-turn (no feet on the ground) and realize I'm not going to make the tight turn. I stupidly grabbed the front brake and down I went. So there I am, dressed for MotoGP qualifying laying under a bike in the parking lot of a well known race shop next to a main road. To add insult to injury, I broke my brake lever. LOL, it still makes me laugh. I looked like such a tool! |

willie i have been having job troubles and money ones too,but i think i got me a good job yesterday, and time for anew start.the buell is about worn down to cords and near smooth up front.time for some tires and attention as the cold season passes. do you still have the ecm spy cable?i think i have some timing and fuel issues to fine tune. if i can save some cash i want to try and get a xb12 wreck and try the 1200 and the new belt and sprockets, maybe a new/spare set of tires/wheels.plus i'd have a lot of other small parts for extras. 1324? lmao that was funny!! |

I've climbed off twice without putting the kickstand down. Once wasn't too bad.. early in the morning on a side street with nobody to see it, and I saved the bike from going all the way down. Just scuffed the chin fairing. The other time though was in front of a dealership. Apparently I walked away while the bike was almost perfectly balanced cuz when I heard the crash I was already 4-5 feet away from the bike. The parts guy knew I was in there for intake gaskets, so when I asked for a shift lever as well, he knew something was up lol.. |

This one time I was crossing a large stream, my left saddlebag got caught on a rock under the water I didn't see. Bike came to a stop instantly and fell on top of me pinning me down with my head barley above the water. Luckily there was a guy on a dirt bike that happened to be going by when it happened, and came by and pulled it off of me. I don't have any other embarrassing stories, but my Buell helped me lose my virginity, so I give it props. |

Similar story above. Pulled into a sign up with almost a thousand motorcycles in the lot. THOUGHT I put the sidestand down. Stepped off the bike... I caught it so it didn't fall, but didn't have the leverage to lift it back up. ALL those people standing around... you'd think ONE of them would've offered to help a brother in need??? Maybe I forgot to turn off my cloak of invisibility. At least no one fell to their knees pointing and laughing. Eased the bike down, positioned myself a little better and then hoisted it back up with no assistance from anyone. Sheesh! Best part?? Not a mark on the bike!! You'd never know it ever touched the ground. (Message edited by jaimec on October 30, 2009) |

went to the woodward cruise, hot as heck outside,no breeze, sun beating down on me, stop and creep traffic for a long time, bike was hot as a bonfire. i thought i was gonna pass out and had to lay in some strangers front yard barfing from heat stroke while the whole dam cruise worked its way past me. the guy who owned the yard let me leave the bike there while i went to the local ER to drain a few IV bags. when i went back to get my bike, my breakfast was still spread around the mans lawn lol |

Tipping over with me on it at a gas station, many people watching. I was leaning one way, reaching for my gloves. The bike started leaning the other way and I could not save it. What a joker I was! |

No embarrassing moment on the Buell yet (had it for a year & 10k miles only), but lots of them on other bikes... my worse was my 2nd crash... it was a big group ride, so we meet in the morning and not 15minutes after leaving the meeting spot going up Big Bear I low side on a tight right hander... I was feeling good that morning and wanted to show off.... and my beautiful baby on which I had just spent quite a lot of $$ and time ended up here (totalled): It sucked... |

Just thought of another one that happens like every day ahaha... Passing someone in 2nd gear and then missing the shift into 3rd (need to adjust primary chain, my 2-3 change is a bit rough) and just making a bunch of noise as you bounce off the limiter and look like a total jerkoff. |
