Im a little disappointed
2 weeks ago I sent my 1125 in for a coolant leak, its still holding waiting on two heat shrinable clamps ( plastic rings )
due off of back order nov 9, TJ the dealer parts guy has checked the system for them. No Joy
I hope that this is not a sign of things to come..

I have my X1 but the suck factor is still high.

Parts guy at my dealer mentioned a lot of items as of late have been on back order. I ordered a new right side radiator pod with decals for a red 2010 CR, and it has a 20 day lead time as of this morning. I don't care, its only a pod cover and not something mission critical, but I hope its not a sign of things to come.

really going to suck if it takes that long to get parts for theses, I really thought hard before buying my Cr because I was afraid of this happening then I thought they should have enough parts in stock to get stuff out quick for the next 7 yrs but maybe I was wrong. I won't get to put many more miles on my cr as the snow will be here soon but hopefully next year if something goes wrong the dealer does not have my bike for half the summer!

Oldog, a friend of mine just bought the CR, he was looking it over at my house and commented on how they use that same style of hose clamp at work. He works at the local Freightliner truck shop. I don't know if they would have the same size or if the dealer would be willing to use them. Might get you back on the road though.

the one needed to fix my bike is 25mm

I understand inside that frame why that heat shrink "clamp" would be better than a stainless steel hose clamp

If I understood my parts guy an issue existed with a tstat housing or hoses in that area.

Thanks for the heads up there is a truck dealer / repair garage about 1 mile from work. I am wondering now.

I ordered parts incl. a radiator pod on Monday last week after I dropped my bike and got it Tuesday of this week. They had to order them, so I guess the dealers aren't stocking much.

I think this is a momentary blip. The employee that lead my tour of the factory on Monday said that after the announcement, they stopped getting parts from all their suppliers. They stopped shipping because they were afraid they wouldn't get paid. Once they get that straightened out parts should be flowing like normal again.
