I'm about to place my first order with American Sport Bike. Their shippping charges look outrageous. Then there's a disclaimer that says these are not the shipping charges and that they will be determined when the box is packed and shipped. Basically they are asking for a blank check. For me to agree to a shipping charge when I don't know what it will be. What's your experience with this? How are their shipping charges? |

They basically charge std rates based on weight, size and distance. Distance wise you'd have to try pretty hard to be much further from them. Al and Joanne are two of the best people in the biz. Call or email them the stuff you want and they'll figure out what shipping will be for you. They're strait shooters and will go out of their way to help you, at least that has been my experience with them. |

I would give them a blank check because they are good business people. They will only charge you what your items cost to ship. They are some of the best buell people in the business!! |

Chris: Just give Al and Joanne a call. I know it's not to high tech but it works and they will explain it to you. I have been dealing with American Sport Bike for 10 years and have never had a complaint. Later Neil S. |

You can't go wrong with ordering from American Sport Bike. Every order I've placed with them has been similar on the shipping. Soon after the order is placed, I've received a followup call and/or email to confirm what I ordered & sometimes WHY I ordered it. They've actually steered me to other products on occasion that better fit what I was doing at the time, even though it cost me less. They are the epitome of "customer service" so don't hesitate. Just my opinion & YMMV. |

I had never dealt with American Sport Bike until Monday, but I can already see myself being a long-term customer. Even for a $6 item (that infamous noid plug), both Al and Joanne were super responsive and professional. I ended up adding a few things to the order, and I'm anxious to get it all. I was impressed!! Al spent a good part of 45 minutes on the phone with me for A $5 part..I just call there when I need something first. The dealer lost A customer at the parts counter even if I have to pay A few bucks for shipping. More than worth that for the knowledge and customer support. |

I recently made my first purchase from American Sport Bike..they handled my order professionally, emailed me the tracking info, the part was well packaged and actually arrived a day ahead of schedule. You may find cheaper prices, but you WILL NOT find better service...which reminds me...Jezebel needs some new front brake pads.... |

American Sport Bike is absolutely one of the finest firms that you will deal with in this business. They are the first place that I check for any part. Totally honest. Fast shippers. Really committed to the Buell community. You won't go wrong with them. |

I am pretty sure they are not making money on shipping charges, if that is what you are asking? Shipping charges have varied lately along with everything else, hard to give quotes when day to day rates seem to change! As others mentioned, a good Company to do business with! |

Yea the shipping estimator on their site is grossly pessimistic, especially on large and heavy items like mufflers. Only good thing it does is lets you see which type of shipping would be the cheapest. I have dealt with Al many times over the years, even got a get well soon email after one of my wrecks. |

Shipping is basically what UPS charges them from my experience. You can't get any better than that. I have probably a half dozen orders or more with American Sport Bike. I am lucky in respect to being 4 hours north of American Sport Bike and get very inexpensive shipping costs, however unlucky that they must charge me California's nearly 10% sales tax. What a state! |

+1 on Al being a good guy. I've purchased several items from him. I'm an "online" guy (techno geek) and love the freedom to browse things online when I get a moment and make the purchase conveniently. Each time I've purchased, I've received an email telling me if what I ordered was in stock or not, and when it would ship. Very good folks. |
