They suck. They leak gallons of oil, mirrors only point at crotch, side stand falls off and spears the tire, blinkers explode and kill innocent children. Stay away from the 08. Hope this helps your decision. I have a May 08 build and the only problem I have is not enough time to ride it |

The 08's come with a 2 year warranty. There are virtually NO "unfixable" 08 1125Rs. |

People who have been patient with the '08s end up with good results. People who get frustrated and pi$$ed of and refuse to be patient and work with their dealer to get things fixed end up continuing to have problems. |

I have needed to be far more patient than most with mine. I have regretted the purchase many times. Buying it is the best thing I ever did. |

I have only had one problem with my 08 in 2600 miles, Whenever I twist the throttle in first around 6k the front tire looses traction. |

My 08 R is more reliable than my 09 CR. My stupid effing CR blew a tail light bulb! |

I have a low serial # 08 1125R, first one sold in St Louis. It only has 7200miles, but 6 track days and three races (incl a win). My wrench did some kind of known clutch fix (for a problem I didn't know I had) under warranty at 6500miles using the improved 09 parts, and at that time they also replaced my two original tail lights with the new and improved ones. I used to complain (a little) about fueling issues but the updates fixed that. Mine did need the cables lubes upon delivery but I have not heard of another with that issue. Get the bike. Oh, and the blue frames are faster, little known fact! |

I stressed about this for a while and then got over it. I adore my 08 1125r. |

Have had almost zero issues, have had the most exciting rides of my life, and finally got to visit Homecoming this year... Yep, worth every penny! |

Put it this way, I got the 08 just for the little 25th year anniversary plaque (the price drop was just coincidental . Its been that solid, and yes, even for a first production run. Besides, there's a warranty. Just add patience, knowledge and understanding. |

Got about 90 miles on my '08 and it's been reliable as a stone.... hoping to get some more riding time in before it gets snowy around here. |

Congratulations on the new bike! I didn't let the fact that my new 1125r was an '08 model year bother me either. |

The only real difference between the 08 and 09s was the fuel injector location in an attempt to improve rideability and MPG, a revised clutch cover which I believe has had further internal mods for the 10s. modified front spring rates. The other fixes including the oil jet issue and the front brake hose routing are subject to recall notices and should be actioned by the dealer before an 08 leaves the shop |

I put 450 miles (bought it as a demo with 1300 miles on it) on my 08 r in the first 24 hours of ownership. It runs great and I do not have any regrets for buying it at all!!! |

I know of three 08's besides my Loretta that already have between 22 and 30k miles. Maybe not totally trouble free, but obviously not shop-queens. Loretta would have 25k now but I missed the trip to East Troy, only 22,390 now. She has all her recalls and has been in the shop twice for warranty work. I have done all the services myself. I love this bike. Zack |

My '08 seems to be doing just fine. (Daily commuting, backroad blasts & multiple trackdays.) I need to schedule some work sometime to get everything up to date, but she's never spent a night in the shop as of yet. There have been some folks who have had troubles, but that's what the warranty is for, isn't it? |

The 08s are great but could do without all the headaches I've heard about so got and 09 for crazy cheap. Most dealers I know r delivering you just have to get them to take shipping off the price of ur bike so u don't pay extra. |
