I'm not on the list yet. I first bought a '09 Red 1125 CR from Ocala FL Buell (I live in S FL). $6K plus freight, setup and TTL. Then I just added a Red '09 1125 R from Shreveport LA Buell. $5K plus freight, setup and TTL. I preferred a Black one, but decided it was more important to get an '09 for all of the updates. I was going to ship my 2000 S3T Thunderbolt to Las Vegas (have a small condo there, gotta have a bike 'cause the roads are way twistier than FL). But now I'll fly to Shreveport, break the 1125R in there, put soft bags on it and ride the 2000 miles to Vegas. I think it'll be more comfortable than most sportbikes (ie the Ducati 900ss I used to tour on) as a "hardcore" sport tourer; I'll find out! I'm a happy camper, and I won't sell the S3T either!. That's it, no more bikes for the next 10 years...famous last words. | ||

WOw, I am not on the list either. Black '09 1125r. There have to be well over 150 documented 1125 purchases now. Anyone that thinks that the "value" of this bike is only $6,000 is nuts. | ||

Doug, I've heard the pre-'99 900ss model is versatile and comfortable and I believe it. I had a 2001 Ducati 900ss. The Pierre Terblanche design with way lower bars, more stretched out ergos and a hard seat to boot. Still not bad once I got used to it, but have to stop every 100 miles. I even liked the Supermono-influenced styling, tho I'm probably in the minority. The 1125R has such good wind protection, that with a zero gravity shield, lower Uly pegs etc. I think it could sport tour. I guess I'll use soft bags; I'm not sure I've seen a good removeable hard bag solution on the boards yet. | ||

Greenflash....I see a dirt bike in there too....sweet! I love getting my 450 dirty...I would only assume that is a Kawi by the color. Congrats on the snow crab, it looks great, I originally wanted the white one, but I saw the black one with lowers and I was in love!!!! Fresno...the value is higher for sure, and that is what makes these deals so good for the riders buying them, a piece of history at half price. I paid 6K OTD for my bike at Fletchers in St Pete, FL. | ||

Add me to the list. Put the deposit down on a 1125R at Racine HD last Thursday - salesman said I was #19 that day. Promised it'd be available for pickup before the end of Nov. Just came from there picking up a part for my Firebolt and was told the owner is hammering on Buell "right now" to get the bikes in. Says they have legit names on over 30 bikes right now and Buell is changing how they want to do things. | ||

I picked up an 08 in Atlanta GA Saturday morning. Rode it to Richmond VA, rested on Sunday, and rode back to Louisville KY on Monday. Total milleage for the weekend is 1300 miles. A word of warning to anyone buying an 08: the manual is ALL WRONG about suspension settings. Get the table from the 09 manual. Check and recheck your settings because this is not a good place to make a mistake. | ||

Picked up my demo 08R last wednesday and proceeded to put 450 miles on it in the first 24 hours of ownership!!! I really like the bike, it does just about everything better than my old SV1000s. Oh and BTW I will have 5600 total in the bike and it will be titled and tagged. | ||

Liquorwhere, Those pics were Salsashark's not mine. But, speaking of dirtbikes, I do have a YZ450F and a Gas Gas 280 Pro trials bike in St Pete; I practice at Croom when I can. Trials is a kick; I rode most of the FTA events in 2007. I used to race MX and it's great to be back in dirtbikes. Fletcher's? I bought my first Buell, a Cyclone, from JT there in 1997. | ||

Mind if I ask what price you got Lemonchili? Prices seem lower in Queensland for some reason. I've seen one 2008 1125R ex-demo for just over $10K up there. Still asking @16K here in Adelaide. |
