When I got home tonight from taking my son to a Halloween party, my neighbor (also a Harley / Buell sales manager) walked over to say my bike was done and he had brought it home. After admiring it awhile in his garage, it occurred to me that I could take it to mine. I've not yet started it, but I'm looking forward to doing so tomorrow. Come on sun! Mike

Nice one. Am i missing something here or are these 1125R's just like the sweetest looking bike? I don't get why people think they are ugly. Of course this is the pretty side . gratz on the new bike man. |

dido on the congrats, now break it in like the motoman suggests, and always remember the white ones are the fastest. |

I have that some one. Break it in per the manual! |

No don't break it in per the manual, go to the link, and read it for proper understanding of why. mototuneusa.com |

I do love a good break-in debate I won't be able to begin mine today ... Sick kid and rain in the forecast. But maybe I'll get some tinkering / suspension set-up done if he manages to dose off this afternoon! |

I forgot to say that if you break it in per the manual, your white one may only be as fast as the other colors. |

She's a beaut Clark! Man I can't wait. Mine's somewhere between WI and CO. should be here tomorrow or the next. I feel like a kid leading up to Christmas! |

Hilarious how some people think that the people who designed, engineered and built the bike have no freakin clue on how to break in it? To each there own but Buell makes world class motorcycles if there manual states to break it in a certain way by god im listening. To each there and good luck! |

Dan, put me down as 'agree' with your comment. It seems neither way blows up the engine, which kind of makes the debate a moot point. Now if the rain would stop, and my kid would get over some of his worst flu symptoms, I will get started on the break-in. I did check (and tweak) the suspension settings a couple of nights ago. So I'm ready to rumble ... Or so I think! Mike |

Wow that thing is sexy! I wish they would have had a white R when I bought my black 09. Congrats! |

Ren, I actually liked the black better, but they didn't have an '09 one. The white/blue didn't wow me when I first saw it, but I liked it more and more the longer I looked at it. After seeing how much my kids liked it once it arrived, I guess I must have made the right choice ... |

Enjoy it! I have the exact same one. Picked mine up last Wednesday but only have 200 miles on her. Weather in Michigan has been crappy as well. |

Just got my '09 Arctic White one too last Friday, been too crappy here in Wisconsin to ride, can't wait to ride it in spring though. I test rode the demos at Road America this past June, the 1125R is one fine machine. |

I've never ridden an 1125, my new one or otherwise. The dealer offered to let me take one out, but I had a meeting to get to and already knew I was buying one anyway. To say I'm itching to try it out is an understatement ... Not to mention my wife is already rolling her eyes when I go to the garage often to look at it. She remembers correctly - I also spent a lot of time looking at my last Buell ('00 X1 Millennium Edition). They are just cool bikes!! |
