That's Gasworks park, located on the shore of Lake Union. Used to be a good place to go hang out 20 years ago, probably still is. |

Steve (Turnagain): Gasworks Park used to be the site of a coal-fired power plant. It was used last in the 70's I think. The grounds had to be thoroughly scrubbed for PCB's and other bad stuff before it was declared "safe". Then it was closed again for more of same. Nowadays the park is a hangout for kite flyers, sunbathers, fireworks displays, low-key keggers, and picnics. But don't go in the water. I'll send you the original images from school. Prof |

Hey, Kim, Deb, Joy, (Loni if she wasn't crippled), etc. if you're looking for a track day, June 25th at PIR is Women's Day. Sponsored by MotoCorsa, the Ducati dealer in Portland. $150.00 includes instructors, lunch, good safety. Steve Breslow and I went to the one on Monday and it was loads of fun, in a safe environment. The ambulance never had to start its engine. The Women's Day is designed to take some of the pressure off of competing with the "Boys". A good tune up for SuperSplash, an excuse to call in sick at work, good practical experience, a chance to go scary fast if you feel like it. If interested, you can reserve a spot by calling in with a credit card #to 503-292-7488. |

Bob I'm sure didn't mind sleeping on the couch...... it was priceless to listen to you two giggle about switching books after I left the room. I almost had to come in and say "girls quiet down now", that I'm sure you haven't heard in a long time. Bob - I trust you made it home ok, Deb called back right after you left. Thank you for coming and supporting Cody and helping out. BTW- Dave called tonight to say that he really appreciated all your help too! You are a great friend and for being a registered kid-hater you are the bestest Uncle/Pit Crew go to Flagger Man ever! We love you! Kimberlie |

Bob- Yes we are very proud, so are Grandma and Grandpa! Thank you again for coming out and supporting Cody that really meant a lot to us I can't tell you how much your friendship means to our family. You took the time to actually ride all the way down and then spent the entire day at the track..... wow! Thanks Mom & Dad too for coming out and supporting Cody, you are the best Grandparents! And thank you Dad for the photos. Cody did so good. He got into a little bit of a mix up as one rider tried to pass another and that shoved one of the riders knees into Cody, I thought he was going to lose it but the little guy gained control of his bike and on he went. He only got lapped one time by a bike that was 10hp. His speed has really increased it is good that he is riding with the adults he is getting a lot of good experience. Mike will have to post more later from a man's point of view.... Kimberlie |
