I am in the market for an 09 CR. Due to this rebate of $5k I'm trying to find one for around $5500 before TTL. Wish me luck. I went to the closest HD dealer yesterday and they didn't have any. I've emailed the other local ones along with one in Louisiana and one in Tennessee. | ||

I believe Corpus Christi HD Buell has at least one for $6500 +TT&L, but it has the high bar kit on it already. I believe that is more or less Invoice minus Rebates, Plus the bar kit and installation. The CR retails for $11999. So, if you take off the $5k rebate, that drops it to $6999. There's no way that another $499 off is invoice. I'm trying to get OTD for around $6500 or so. We shall see. | ||

If it has the high bar kit on it, expect approx $500 parts and labor. The one at CCHD has that, and the real # for the bike without the bars is like $5995.00 There's about a G in markup. R | ||

Carbon, That's good info, thanks. If the bike does have the high bar, I'll be sure to take that under consideration. I'd like to try the bike with the stock bars before I get the high bars (which I'll install myself). I've sent out a lot of emails to dealers. We shall see if I can get this done by the end of the week. | ||

millville hd in Nj has a few red cr's in stock..i picked mine up yesterday for 5621.40 otd...the bike was $5050 without tax/tags... Call Jeff there and tell him Nick sent you (Message edited by nickg on October 25, 2009) | ||

I don't think they are a vendor here, but downtown harley in seattle has/had one CR left - black iirc. BUT with how quick these sold (13 over the last wknd) and when i was there 3 R's were on the floor, but by the time i finished paperwork all were sold or marked sold. So with the wknd over it may be gone already. If you google downtown harley seattle it should pop up. They are closed mon. I spoke with Vik and was really happy with the buell vibe/acceptance at DTHD. anyway - don't wait too long they are getting scarce! GL! | ||

I was thinking of picking up an R to go with my CR. I called around first to see what everyone had. One of the dealerships didn't have any, the other had one 09 R. I asked what they wanted for it and was told "make an offer" so I asked what the sticker said. He told me $7.5k or $7.9k, I don't recall which. I said I couldn't go any higher than 6k and almost before I was finished with my sentence the guy said "its yours, come on down". Well, I went down the next day and they still had the bike, it even had the fairings installed. I figured since the guy was so eager to take $6k, I would offer $5k + TTL. Well, he wandered over to the boss man, came back and proceed to tell 7k+TTL was THE BEST they could do. I held back a laugh as I walked out the door...they didn't say a word as I left. I paid full price for my CR in Sept 08 and have loved it ever since...but with the current situation what it is, there is no way I would spend more than 6-6500, even with the fairings. The thing that pissed me off the most was the (same) guy telling me 2 different prices on different days...He also kept telling me what the bike was worth and it went up every time he threw out a number, elevating as high as $14k. | ||

Well, I worked out a deal for a CR. Unfortunately, I have to drive to Nashville to get it. And, of course, I get an email late in the day (after I put down a deposit) for a dealer in Houston offering the same price I paid. Oh well, I'm still happy. Thanks to Jeremy @ Bumpus in Murfreesboro, TN! I'll take pics when I pick it up this Saturday. Black with the high bars already installed. | ||

FYI.... Call John Graham at 425-988-2100, Downtown Harley Seattle area. He just called me, they are getting a shipment from the factory. They are taking $500 deposits until their allotment is filled. I was on the list but bought mine Saturday at another local dealer. His quotes are: 09 1125R, choice of colors as of 12:30pst = $7495.00 09 1125CR, """"""""" = $7095.00 Hope this helps someone. |
