Hubby put them on my blast, only issue was the grips being a little sticky to remove. I like them so much better, look at my profile pic to see if you need a better pic let me know we can go snap a few more. |

EZ Meant: Put on superbike bars. They are close to lightning bars but much cheaper. These are the bars that should have come with the bike. http://www.chaparral-racing.com/Chaparral/product_ family.asp?family%5Fid=5740&gift=False&0=assets%2F html%2Fd%5Fstreet%2Easp%2CnavId%3Dd%5Fstreet%2A0%2 6menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D%2CStreet&1=dept%2Easp%2Cde pt%5Fid%3D425%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D0%2CStreet%2 0Handlebars%2C%20Controls&2=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid %3D3249%26menu%5Fid%3D%26Tree%3D1%2CStreet%20Handl ebars&3=dept%2Easp%2Cdept%5Fid%3D1595%26menu%5Fid% 3D%26Tree%3D2%2CBikemaster%20Street%20Handlebars&m scssid=64F0B9BA56994B569478F16A2DD1FF35 |

The superbike bars are nice, they still give you a "sitting up" riding position. I think they work better with mid foot controls than clubmans or clip-ons. |

Right now no hurry to get rid of the dunlops, yeah I hate them too. I have michellins on the ultra and the m2 and really like those so far. But I am flying up on friday to Bumpus to pick up a 09 lightning scg. So the blast will become a round town bike but then again who knows she may venture out on the road more cause she is a great ride. |

I replaced the stock bars on my Blast with Super Bike Bars, and road them for about 1000 mi. Felt good, nice control, but I felt just a bit too much weight on the wrists. I then installed Lightning bars... Good compromise to the stock/Super bike combo, no wrist pressure, nice forward position, works well with standard foot pegs. After 1000 mi. I still like them, and would recommend the swap. Also a bit more adjust ability before tank interference. |
