I saw him once downtown, he's kinda scrawny. Note the double chin and pale complexion on the above photo. |

Hey all.....it sounds like there will be a contingency of WI/IL Buell riders meeting at HH this Sunday. Anyone interested? I'm not sure I'll be there but I think Dyna, Bomber, Nevco & CJ will be there. Check Brew City for more info. |

Well, we have our first track day of the year behind us now. What a great time. I was a little concerned if I'd be able to run as fast as last year. I had been riding a X1 and was very comfortable on it. I have switched to a XB9R Firebolt and figured I'd have to learn to ride all over again. I would've been thrilled to be able to run the same or close lap times on the Bolt for my first time out on it. Well last year my best lap time was a 1 minute 50.19 second lap. I was able to run a 1 minute 46.9 second with the Firebolt. My goal for the year was to take 5 seconds off my times, now that doesn't seem "lofty" enough so my new goal is to get into the 1.43s My boss Doug is doing well also, he beat me twice during the day. Damm turn 7. Craig did the race school so we didn't see him much all day. I had my first "swap some paint" with another rider. Turned out I know the guy. It was Rob, he owns Lithium Motorsports and races CRA. We hit together pretty hard but it wasn't that big of a deal. One less thing to be scared of now! I got to meet a bunch of the KC Mob guys that I hadn't met before. Sam and Frank were in the novice group so I didn't get to ride with them. They had a ball too and I'm sure will be back for more. In all there were 55 riders there. If you haven't done a track day yet, DO IT! -------------------- Ride to the edge! If the Buell D&D is as sweet as the pair on a friends Ducati 900SS, I will be jealous! Much nicer tone than my raspy Vance & Hines with similar effects on the dyno. Kindly post some feedback when you get them installed. |

I will be happy to post once it's installed. Now I just have to go home, set up a lawn chair on my doorstep and wait patiently (or not so patiently) for the big brown truck to arrive. |

If you can get me a D&D for my 98 S1WL for $127 I am very interested!! My parents live in New Berlin so shipping isn't a big deal either. I could have my Dad pick it up if you are ordering a couple to save on shipping costs. chevydan1@hotmail.com |
