Paul, the new Buellers are a husband-wife duo. Bobby Fletcher is his screen name but I don't think his wife is on the board. He is on a CR and she is on a Blast. |

I just posted this on the Quickboard: Just found out last night - for all Easy Rider fans out there, American Ironhorse in Ft. Worth is liquidating their custom choppers, starting today (July 15), and will keep it going until they've sold all of their "nonessential" inventory. I don't know how much of an investment one of these might be, but it might be worth a drive. http://iwblogger.com/2009/american-ironhorse-liqui dation-sale/ |

i have counted 9 things that have been done to my 1125r. that is i counted the mirrors as one and the rear turn signals as one also. i just had a new instrament cluster installed 2 weeks ago. i really hope that will be the last thing i have to go to the dealership for. |

This might be a better place for my question: Just moved to Dallas from Oklahoma and was wondering which dealership to take my bike to for service? |

Right, I have used both Allen and Corinth HD/Buell. Both seem equally clueless. I guess if I had to pick one it would be Allen. They have the best personality to deal with. |

Cowtown, I moved to Coppell but really all the dealerships are close enough that if one is far and away better than the rest then a little travel time is a non-issue. I had a dealership once put a rear tire on and they forgot to put the wheel spacers back in, so; bye, bye bearings. I'm pretty picky and do everything I can myself, but sometimes you just need a mechanic. |

Right, I was very happy with Fort Worth HD. One year they were listed in Ride Texas top ten for domestic service center. After they dropped Buell I went to Corinth and Allen to get my sprocket nut retorqued and neither would do it. I ended up taking it to Kelly Withers at KC Custom in Granbury. He measured the nut before he torqued it and it was 172 lbs, which was about 2/3 what is recommended. |

I'd like to hook up with some area Buellers (Ft Worth, Arlington, Mansfield area) for breakfast and a ride after one of these great fall weekends. I'm a new Buell Ulysses ( 2007, used) rider but have been riding and wrenching bikes for 30+ years. |

Jmartijr sounds like a great idea. I've been riding for 10 years and currently ride a 2006 Uly. Unfortunately, I have to get a license in Texas before I ride again. Evidently my endorsement from Oklahoma doesn't count and they want me to take the MSF course again even though I can't find any law that states this as a requirement. |

You don't need the course. The only thing the course does is get you out of the riding test when you get your license. If you don't have the course, you will just have to schedule a riding test at the DMV. |

You might need this, too, if they make you take the written part again. http://www.txdps.state.tx.us/msb/dl-8.pdf I'll defer to Slowride and his experience with service shops; the ONLY service shops I've heard good things about have been Allen & Corinth. I chose a closer V-Twin shop in Hurst, which quoted me an awesome price. Then they added 55% to my bill after they'd already torn into it, saying they had misquoted me. Not good for repeat business. So, my friendly advice to you if you go somewhere else would be, "get it in writing." I definitely game for a Fall ride out to Santo or Stephenville or something, but I'm currently sacrificing riding time in order to study for the California Seismic & Surveying exam, which I have to take the weekend before Halloween. |

I'm out of town for the next week. If no one else makes the move soon as I return I'll post a suggested date and meeting place for a Saturday or Sunday morning. I'd like a chance to chat Buells and maintenance/trips/aftermarket/mods/etc with some longer term Buell owners. Also, I know some good riding west/south as well as some pretty good chicken fried steak country cafes. And wrenching is a passion so I'd like to share with fellow gearheads some Buell ideas and tips. As for rides- Riding styles vary and can be all over the map. My preferred is 70-75mph with 75-80% of what the road and conditions allow. |

Please keep us advised of any "fire sales" you spot out there. I'd be curious to know if our local Harley dealers will price their remaining Buells as if they're a already a rare commodity or if they'll dump 'em to finally be rid of them. If it's the latter, I might be persuaded to pick another one up. |

Yesterday starting at 4pm (a dealer) in Dallas, slashed all the prices on their Buells. On 10/15 from 5pm - 7pm this dealer sold... 2 09 1125CR's (one to me) for $4995 1 09 XB12X for $5995 1 09 1125R for $5995 So today, I go to work and tell my coworkers about the Buell sale. 3 of my coworkers bug out at 10:30 to go check it out. I arrived at the dealer at 11:45 to pick up my CR and found out that all 3 of my coworkers picked up Buells. 1 White/Blue 1125R for $5995 1 Black/Black full race fairing 1125R for $5995 1 Red/Black 1125R for $5995 Another guy came in at 12 noon and bought... 1 White/Blue 1125R for $5995 and last but not least... at 1pm a gentleman came in and picked up the only 2010 model they had 1 Blk/Blk XB12SS for $5995. The dealer said they just secured 4 more 25CR's and 2 25R's from another dealer and would be selling them for the prices listed above this weekend. So that is 9 Buells in less than 2 days. ~Fire Sale, Fire Sale Fire Sale~ |

HMartin, on Saturday Longhorn HD, Grand Prairie, sold at least 3 Buells at discount. The saleman mentioned 5K off on 1125s and 3K on XBs. The 1125s are history and there were few XBs left when I took off about 3:30, with the last XB9SX. |

I should've known. I looked at that very XB9 on Friday evening. That's OK, though. I would've been mothballing it for a year or two, anyway, and in this instance, I would feel like I was hoarding. Congrats to everyone. |

Micah, Dallas HD in Garland is less 1 CR as of tonight. Neighbor bought it (no license, no road experience, no training). Told his wife to increase his life insurance policy. This should be "fun" to see how long it takes him before he either kills himself, scares himself silly, or parks it until he can handle it. |

I'm looking for a 1125R, if anyone finds one in the DFW area let me know. 817-690-2152. So far the closest one I can find is in Albuquerque, still trying to get in touch with Houston dealers though. I'm so sorry I missed the rush! |

Jared, I heard that there were a few in the Tulsa and OKC area from the 1125 board. You might snoop around in there. |

Stopped by Longhorn (Grand Prairie) at 530 Thursday night. They have 4 Buells 1x Uly, 1x xb12r, and 2x xb12s. Called American Eagle (Corinth) at 545 Thursday night: they have no Buells whatsoever. Dallas (Garland) is my last shot at a 25cr. If you go up there and see a red one, don't buy it. Please, please, please, oh please. This is what I get for going on the first week-long vacation in 4 years. |
