.... 100% transparent airbox cover. I'm talkin' totally clear, no color at all. I think it'd look frikkin' sweet to have one of those, then paint the inner airbox to match the bike, or just use the open airbox kit. Surely someone could pull that off....? ~SM |

A vacuum table with heated lexan would be all it would take. Just like an RC car body. |

AND.......a very expensive mold...! You could get away with using a stock airbox as the plug. The result would be larger than stock, but only slightly. You could make up the difference when trimming the lexan copy down. The tolerances for the airbox cover aren't exactly tight. (Message edited by nik on October 23, 2009) |

The Japanese modders work up hand-made clear molds all the time for their gadgets and swag. I'm kinda surprised to not have run across any pics of someone over there molding out any bike panels. A bigger task for sure, but a fanatic is a fanatic, and they got em in bunches. |
