Be sure both sides of the fork are set to the same. Stay out of the slipstreams of buses. There's a tps re-set procedure for newer bikes like yours - don't know it, since mine is '06. But yours is easier to do, as a first step to try and address accel issue. You may want to peruse the bigbaddirty section for more uly issues and solutions. No idea about the fan, though.
