Will Uly pegs fit on the 1125R? If so, someone have the part #? I would like to order a set and have them for when I pick up my new purchase.

The latest ones (2009-2010 model) are P/N N0006.1AK and are $86.55 a pair. (link: http://www.buell.com/en_us/gear/accessories/produc t.asp?Menu_ID=2&ProductLineID=2&CategoryID=7&Produ ctID=4259)

IIRC correctly, the 2006-2008 version footpegs are only like ~$35. They aren't as grippy, but they would be fine for a pure street bike. (I don't have that P/N handy.)

I bought a pair of these and was pretty happy with them. They are solid.

I just installed the "silver" Uly pegs -- works good for my ergo needs. Here's the quote I got from Liberty as of 2 weeks ago:

* N0006.1AK, FOOTPEG KIT, RIDER, LEFT AND RIGHT (BLACK) - BadWeb Price = $77.89.

* N0503.1AK, FOOTPEG, RIDER, RH (SILVER) - BadWeb Price = $17.73.
* N0502.1AK, FOOTPEG, RIDER, LH (SILVER) - BadWeb Price = $17.73.
* N0425.02A8, E RING, FOOTPEG, STAINLESS - BadWeb Price = $2.38 each, $4.76 for 2.

Wow, I didn't realize the silver were SO much cheaper! Did you order the E-rings since you knew they would shoot off into the abyss when swapping pegs?

Liberty HD/B recommended replacing the e-rings routinely. As it turns out, one of the old ones snapped when I popped it off. I probably would have been more careful if I hadn't had new ones. But, yeah, it's the kind of clip that goes flicking across the shop and ends up under the shelves or the bench with all your other lost parts.

The search function does wonders: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/290 431/383533.html But at times it's so nice to watch the "wheel being reinvented".

If you need any more little hints about stuff to do with your 1125, give me a shout or do a little searching, we are always glad to assist.

Neil- A "new 1125 owner" sub-forum (sort of a FAQ) would be a great idea like the one we have for Uly riders in BB&D: http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/142 838/442053.html?1238017122

I imagine a lot of us new 1125 owners checked in here occasionally but I'm sure we've missed a lot of the details.

Maybe we need a mentor/protege system where a new owner is assigned an old owner for guidance.

Barker,

When you say they fit, is it a straight bolt-on situation, or do they need a little grinding?

Thanks, I just picked up an 1125R last Saturday. Got the break-in done already!

The "s" pegs need a little grinding, the Uly "x" pegs don't.

Uly Black pegs - drop-in replacement.
Absolutely necessary for me.

so where's a good place online to get these?

I'm thinking the older silver pegs would work/match well. vs the expensive black new ones...

thx!

Try a badweb sponsor, like Liberty HD/Buell
http://www.badweatherbikers.com/buell/messages/171 43/17143.html?1256535082

Moose (Chris) in the parts dept at Liberty will help you out.

I don't know much about the Uly's ... But at first glance those pegs look to sit a little lower, which would mean perhaps more comfortable for taller or 'big footed' riders?

About 1" lower and wider to keep from digging into your boot. Note the black ones are ~2x more than the silver ones.
