$235 for full coverage on a 1125R for a year. Does that sound good? No loan on the bike either, if that make a difference. |

Sounds great, my quote was around $500 a year for one. I'm only 24 though if it matters. |

I would give my left nut for $235/year. I don't understand how some of you guys swing it. Actually, I don't understand how an insurance company can insure such a high risk vehicle for so little. |

28 with a clean record and the best I could get on a 1125CR was about $850 for minimum liability and $1000 deductibles. That was through Dairyland Progressive and Geico were around $1200 and $1700 respectively. The dairyland isn't too bad... that would only be about $70 a month. $500 or less per year is ridiculously cheap, How are you guys pulling that off? |

40 years old and a clean record. My quote was through Geico. No loan, so maybe that knocks it down a little? MSF class years ago? |

I'm getting my quote through USAA...active duty military has its little perks here and there. I did have a reckless and careless driving ticket, but it's no longer on my record. |

My insurance went up a little, from 608 a year to 670 a year. More than I'd like but I'm 24 with several tickets when I was younger and 1 claim. Country companies with a multiple vehicle and a homeowner discount. |

State farm sucks! They are dropping my home owners policy in Florida and I don't even live near the coast. I hope they go out of business. At the very least I hope the state of Florida makes them pull out completely, no auto, no nothing. I'm paying $99 per year for just liability through geico. If I had full coverage, then i'd probably ride a little to risky. |

I finally found a reasonable insurance rate through www.cycleinsure.com. About $600/year for full coverage. |

Insurance is always strange, so many pricing variables that what works once might not work the same later ... I ended up with Geico on the '09 1125R that I just bought. It was the cheapest for the comp/coll options I was looking for. |

$341.99 a year for my new '09 1125R. 29 years old, 3 bikes, a car, and renter's insurance through State Farm. Maybe one speeding ticket in my car from a year and a half ago to two years ago. |

If you buy outright (no loan) and do not get insured for damage - just minimum required liability... it's DANG cheap... even cheaper if you're older than 25 (27 in some cases) We're talking like a factor of 4 or 5 in savings. $1000 deductible makes it even cheaper. I paid the extra $180 with Geico to have full coverage, even though I paid cash for the bike. I've never put a bike down, or so much as put a scratch on one. But I figured this bike had the best potential to be the first since my X1 scared me. I'm suspecting this one is a bit faster! Mike (Message edited by milleniumx1 on October 22, 2009) |
