Chip, If you come with us on Sundays ride, approx half way through the ride we will be crossing right under the Taconic Parkway. If you were to hop on the Taconic northbound at that point, you would be exactly 38 miles from I-90 (Mass Pike) Not sure if that helps to get you home by 5, but I'm approximating that we will pass that point between noon and 1PM. |

If Sunday is nice I will be there. I'm kinda short on all the rain gear I would need for a steady drizzle or better. |

Jim as always...or as close as we can get to the top. Just go against gravity and you'll find your way. Hope to see you there. |

Man oh man. Just pre-rode the Saturday route with Froggy yesterday. This is going to be a healthy ride. 190 miles with 2 stops before the endpoint. Be prepared for a sore ass, and the ride may hurt too. I just reviewed the Saturday Hammertime run, and that is going to be AWESOME. Not as long as Sunday but some really nice technical riding, and SPECTACULAR views. |

Yep- I had a few conversations with Palisades Interstate Park Police & mg't. (I'm actually a registered biological researcher with their parks system)... They're going to ensure that the Perkins gate is open early for us...IF weather permits...otherwise they suggested all meet at a pull-off 1/4 Mi. West (not toward The lodge area, but back in the direction of rt. 6). I'm hoping for clear weather on Sunday AM, but in the worst case, we meet at a nice pulloff. Park Police, etc. are aware of our gathering, and will facilitate our presence this year. I told them you're all associated scientists, so wear lab coats. |

Cool - little disappointed last year when we couldn't get to the top. Weather report looks spectacular for Sunday! Paw - I don't have any extra rain gear - maybe hit up Wal-Mart for some Frog Togs just in case? They're not expensive at all. |

The area we are riding says 70% chance so I figure we will get wet ...............Again. Debating if I should change tires or not as the ones I have on there are blocked off. |

Froggy, I was just over at Danbury, and they mentioned you were just in there yesterday. Did they manage to install the new cappucino maker on your new 1125R? I pick mine (bike, not cappucino maker) up tomorrow. See you at 9. |

I'd offer my rain gear for Doon or Paw to borrow, but my Olympia suit is about as waterproof as paper towel. |
