Brad, saw your bike in the shop, I'll keep an eye on it for you. I really like that carbon fiber air filter cover. I've been thinking of making some cf body panels for my P3. We'll see. |

Thanks Lou, It's tough being without my trusty steed.. Not sure how long it's going to be there, Lance left a message late Friday, somthing about having the wrong shock. I have to call him tomorrow for the details. I'm a bit miffed as Lance had check the previous week to make sure the part was in stock or get it ordered. It was in stock and he put a hold on it for my bike. Not sure what the screw up is. I'll find out tomorrow! Hopefully it will be a short snag. If not, I'm going to ride it leaky shock and all until the replacement arrives. Brad |

Off to the races... I am leaving now, but a little late, to go and see Eastside Harley/Buell race team's maiden races on their XB9R, stripped but stock. Will let you all know what happens... Best Regards, Barry Seattle |

I'm with you Dyna, Kinda like a Moped. A lotta fun to ride but you don't want your buddy's to see you. (was that the ugly girl analogy?) Same thing!! In The Rain Forest, Bob |

The Suzi looks very cool. But... I think the swingarm should be flipped. Kinda looks out of place and a bit too bulky. JMHO Brad |

Jim, I have to get my eyes checked. It even says Martek on the tank..... last I heard, they'd gone out of business. I think the Duke will look good in real life. PPiA |

I'm thinking about bidding on this item...the buyer says it will fit on my 98 S1 but is unsure about jetting. Is this a good buy? http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2411091287 Just out of interest, what is the problem with posting items from the US to the UK....I've just been e-mailed back from the US saying its not worth the hassle. If you have to stick the item in a box to ship in the US whats the big deal about sticking extra postage on, which I will pay, and send over here??? |

Got that one . . . then spent a gig studying internet intellectual property rights (one of our own members here is one of the foremost legal authorities in the USA) and am now doing another at NYU with apps into Columbia School of Creative Writing and, on the desk but not tendered for Brooklyn Law School. Your mind is like a magicians hat...you can't pull anything out of it you haven't put in...except on the internet where you can blame, HD, Wille G, life, your mom slappin' yer lame ass around, the dealer or Buell...it's always someone else's fault Court (trying to catch up with Grizzly's 6,000+ volume library) |

In his weekly "Personality Parade" column in Parade Magazine (a Sunday insert in many newspapers), Walter Scott offered this explanation for David Hasselhoff's recent motorcycle wreck: "Hasselhoff, 50, and wife Pamela Bach, 39, were injured in February when a gust of wind sent their motorcycle into a light pole. He fractured lumbar vertebrae and a wrist; she broke a wrist and an ankle. 'It began as a beautiful day for a ride on my new Harley," the actor told us, "but ended in the hospital.' WE know that it is all but impossible for a "gust of wind" to deflect a Harley-Davidson with two up unless the Hasselhoff's beautiful day included a tornado, but the public is left with an entirely wrong impression of the safety and stability of a motorcycle. My letter to Mr. Walter Scott (Box 5001, Grand Central Station, New York, NY 10163-5001) is already in the mail. I hope others will do likewise. Russ |

Jim, what's the story on that tricked-out Guzzi? I don't see anything even remotely similar on the Moto Guzzi USA web site. |

I believe thats one of the Brian & Ghezzi guzzis. They are a small aftermarket firm that modifies & races them. |

It's a Furia, from Brian & Ghezzi. I think that they are running on an older (ha!) engine with the 5 speed tranny, instead of the 6 speed V11 set up, unless they were given the newer engines. |

Late last year we were "discussing" Buell sales and market share and Elvis predicted the following:
Quote:José, If Buell ends up the year at 5602 I would be very concerned, but that number is not even close to what they will have. I'm not saying the first quarter was a write off, so it's understandable that their sales will be down 24%, I'm saying that because their first quarter was a write off, a real projection that considers the 3rd and 4th quarters will be much higher than either the 1st or 2nd quarters would put Buell well ahead of Triumph and Ducati. Expect Buell's final 2002 sales to be well ahead of Triumph and Ducati (even with the first quarter) and expect their 2003 sales to be nipping at BMW's heals. Please remember this and let me know if I'm wrong when the final numbers are in.
Well the numbers are in, courtesy of LT Snyder/DJ Brown in the May 2003 issue of Motorcycle Consumer News These are for the US only, and includes dirt bikes (not sure about scooters) |

I recently went by Glendale HD/Buell. They had one XB9S left in stock and it had just been sold. It's my understanding they are moving the XB9S bikes very quickly these days... |
