Yeah. What does Buell closing have to do with the fact that most Ducatisi are in love with owning a Ducati (not riding) and wearing red stuff that says "Ducati." What changed? Please explain. I don't think Buell closing the doors has anything to do with Ducatisti or that anything changed. I do think that most Ducati owners are passionate about owning a Ducati just as most Buell owners are passionate about owning a Buell. No different. Just look around here. I also don't think it has anything to do with a "Post up if you picked up a Buell since 10/15 thread". That's what makes it so funny that you brought it up. Why did you bring it up? Really makes me laugh when people are labeled as "Ducati type". Does it make you a "Buell type" for making "Ducati type" comments? I don't think so. I know people who own Buells and people who own Ducatis, along with other brands (I've had both) and they all ride the crap out of them. I don't know any who just bought them to sit around and stare at them, just so they can wear a t-shirt and say they own one. There are probably some out there, but not most as you say. Back to the thread please. |

Good luck. I'm actually wondering if part of the reason the 2010s are so rare had anything to do with contracts already written through AAFES. The down side is that if it wasn't marked and built yet, if they don't have any left, you may just be getting your down payment back. Any word on whether or not yours was built? Hope you get your ride. I'ts confirmed that it's in a crate at the plant and ready for shipment |

Anyone know if the price incentives are going overseas...? I'm keeping an eye on the prices, but it looks like the '08 1125Rs are still @ $15K (AUD) over here (OZ). |

Anyone finding the smoking deals in Florida? The local Seminole HD dealer wants $8200 OTD. I already have too many bikes so at $6k I'm a buyer but at $8k not so much. I do have a Ducati and only stare at it but that is just because it is always broken or due service. |

I got mine on Sunday, a beautiful 1125 R in red. Paid $8600, many lookers so I threw down a deposit. Could not work too much of a deal due to demand, plus we have year round riding weather in So Cal. I am happy w/ the purchase, that machine growls when you fired it up. Happy to have this beauty in my garage. |

I talked to a couple of dealers here in San Diego area, and they aren't dealing compared to what other people are reporting here. Price of a CR is $7995. XB models are not discounted even that much. We'll see in a few months when inventory is still there. |

Apperentley the rebates or discounts dont apply to 2007.5 bikes. Colonial Heights Buell has a 2007.5 TT for 11,000.00 no rebate.I spoke to the dealer Sat and he said they were only discounting 2008,09,10 bikes. I have been Eyeballing the TT for a year. |

I have mine already up on eBay as a classified listing if anybody wants it. 8 miles on it. I'm in SoCal...went halves on it with a buddy...we got it because it was a screamin' deal but agreed if we could make a few bucks on it we would. So $7999 if you can't get the dealer to make you a good deal on it. It's a black '08 1125R |

$8000 OTD still seems like we're being ripped off as compared to these guys that are paying $5K. It's a good price for the bike in general, I'm just wondering why they aren't dumping them for $5K below cost like everyone else. I just got off the phone with a sales manager at a nearby dealer, and it is true that there is a $5000 factory to dealer incentive. Dealer cost on those 08 models would be a little over $10K, so even with the ludicrous sales tax in CA it would be possible to get an OTD price of around $6500 without the dealer losing anything. I'll just have to wait and see how things play out I suppose. |

Ron, my only thought is that they CA dealers know that we are captive due to the CA emissions restrictions. ie we can't go out of state to buy the bikes. Not sure how the dealers figure a break even figure, but the dealer in Vegas swore up and down that $6890 OTD was his absolute break even on the bike ('09 1125r.) He also said that red was cheaper than black from BMC--not sure I buy that one. I believe red is less popular than black tho. |

I was quoted $7000 OTD at Santa Maria HD for 2009 black 1125CR on the phone, but got one from Golden Gate HD for the same price, as it was closer to me. Call them, if you want, you may be able to do a little bit better |

Don't compare prices from cold weather states to California prices. You are hard pressed to get "killer" deals here in Cali. At $8600 I think I got a bargain. There is also pricing for 08, 09, and 2010 (if they got made). Dealer inventory might affect pricing. OC HD quoted me OTD of $11,500. Ride On! |

Add another name to the list. I will pick up my new 2009 1125R tomorrow. This makes no sense for me to buy another bike, but at these prices, I couldn't resist. This is weird; bitter sweet for sure. |

I just got back with my black CR. Got it for 6700 OTD and they gave me a real fair trade on my 03 firebolt. I was sad to see it go but I love this CR and the price was right. Moved my timeline up about a year. I got it at Coziahr's in Decatur IL, they still have a red CR, several black Rs, and a few XBs. |

Peeing fuel is from a too-full tank and a hot frame. |

As the motor breaks in, it tends to run a bit cooler and doesn't happen as often. I put some water wetter in the coolant, that helped too. Best fix is the tuning software on available on eBay, I just have got around to it yet. |

Picked up a CR last night in Syracuse for $6600 OTD. They still had a black CR, an 09 white R and an 08 black R along with a few XBs. Rode it 80 miles back to Fort Drum and all I can say is WOW! I'm honestly glad this motor is NOT in my XT, I would have lost my license a long time ago. |
