Has anybody ever used one of these on a Cyclone? I purchased a 2001 Cyclone and used the motor for my rigid project bike I built. I bought a unit for a 2001 Sportster figuring it would work since the Buell is just a hopped up Sportster motor for that year. They didn't change it until 2003. I can't get any spark after installing it and I have checked everything. The coil ohm's out at 3 ohms, I have 12 volts at the coil with the ignition switch turned on, I grounded out the green wire on the ignition to compensate for the lack of tipover switch. Not sure what to look for next. |

Sounds like you got the wrong one. I have the 1005 nose cone and it has no green wire. http://www.daytona-twintec.com/download/Model_1005 _Instructions.pdf Model 1005 Internal (Nose Cone) Ignition with Versions for 1970-1999 Big-TwinŽ, 1971-2003 SportsterŽ |
