What are the finance rates on a 1125R? Just put a deposit on a 09 1125R and just want to make sure im not getting shafted by the finance department! My wife and I have mid 700 credit scores so would think we would qualify for the best rate.

Thanks

I bought mine on Saturday and I got approved on Buell's hard to say no financing promo. 5.99 for 60 months. I know I am a 740+ score

I haven't picked mine up yet but I got approved by Harley for 3.9 for 36 months over the phone. I was a 730 FICO last I checked. When I financed my bike last year at my credit union it was at 8.99 for 36 months.

Harley's finance branch helped get us in this mess, but I won't hesitate to take advantage of them to save some money.

We have a local credit union that is offering 4.79%/ 60 months for 2001 and newer bikes.

They still have that promo going on for 3.99%/3yr 4.99/4yr 5.99/5yr.

I took advantage and got my 09 Lobster for 3.99%

I wonder if they would let me take out a second loan? : )

Interest rates for secured vehicle financing are generally based on the factors below. Any advertised rate has fine print saying they apply for qualified buyers. Without knowing the first three, any talk of rates is speculative and finance people talking quotes are teetering on illegal practices.

1) you & any co-signers credit scores
2) debt to income ratio
3) value & new or used status of vehicle
4) down payment towards purchase
5) term of loan

Even the Buell program requires qualifications before you can get those rates.

$5667 OTD?!? Where are the dealers in So. Cal that are purging stock like this? Meanwhile, I was quoted a little less than $11,200 OTD for an '09 Ulysses. Not sure if that's a good deal or not, but the salesman told me he could do 1.9% for 36 months. Wow, I thought the 3.9 on my 1125R was good. Speaking of which, I paid that bad boy off on Saturday! Hooray for me!

The problem with OTD prices on the internet is you get prices from places that have different tax and licensing costs. That $5667 OTD is in Michigan. There is a dealer with your county's name that has an 09 Uly in orange for 8995 base price. The buell finance promo works on the XBs to, for now.

Noah! Hey, it was really good meeting you at the shop on Sunday! That price I was talking on the Uly was out of Simi Valley the day before. I was surprised why you had said they were only doing 3.9% yet, or was the guy from Simi pulling my leg? No matter, as my roommate / landlord says "there's no room in the garage for another bike." There is, he just doesn't want another one in there. All the more reason to keep my cash and move out instead.

If you ever want to ride, shoot me a PM!

Simi may be using a different lender, but as far as the options we have available to us are 3.99, 4.99, 5.99 and then the normal rates.

Oh yeah the pods that ruined Buell. How could I forget?

Brad, have you read ANYTHING regarding HD brass and the decision to axe Buell?

This kind of shit is pure trolldom. Posting a pod picture in a HD finance thread.

Excuse me, please go back to your Harley bashing and cussing. Harley thread, ok, help me here. How did Haley stop people from buying all those piled up 1125's?

Harley gave Buell all the rope they needed, who else would offer the color choices of wounded flesh? Did Harley start telling people that the bike they bought was a mistake, and crushed it.

Do we want to of through the list of ailments the 1125 owners continue to report in its third year. Damn, Harley. There I used a cuss word just for you.

Please tell me why those 2008's were not selling so I can understand like you do. I have read the news, I do think Harley made the right move made sense for cash flow, taxes and , Now they have the power to save the technology that their $$$ funded. Correct the 1125 troubles, ad some design and sell it as a Harley.

Triumph sells a full line of vehicles it only makes since to have your technicians and sales people know your bike. But agin please help me understand your world, Please tell me why those 2008's were not selling so I can understand like you do how it is Harley's fault.

Brad, it's too bad you passed on this one, all because of the pods.
Very little time in the shop and 22k+ miles so far. Thanks for passing tho, I love her.
THEN you went and bought that hideous Multistrada because it said Ducati on the tank.

Quit trolling

Buell wasn't the only one who couldn't sell bikes, its the state of our economy. Look at Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki there offering huge discounts on theres as well. When I was talking to a sales guy he said Harley never put the incentives up like the competition was doing so they were selling less.

" ..Buell wasn't the only one who couldn't sell bikes, its the state of our economy. Look at Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki .. "

Harley had something like 28% y-t-d sales decline over 2008, Honda, BMW, Kaw, Suz, et al were more in the ranges of 48 to 54% down in similar models. Where as Harley didn't have to do incentives, the mere fact that HDFS had free cash for available credit, where banks and metric companies had none or little, made a huge difference. Had Cash for Clunkers also allowed motorcycle purchase, perhaps the metrics would have had more sales. But Harley benefit from having its own finance wing. I know, I made sales that prove it.

Buell just didn't have the shoppers no matter what we did to attract non-Harley and non-Buell riders into the store. I can't speak for other dealerships, but we even took bikes to them. Track days, races, sport bike nites - and when I got someone new to demo ride, I usually closed a sale. Apparently, just not enough of them.

The couple of dealers I talked to said Buell was just starting to catch on when the closed them down. Either way to bad. I also agree Buell didn't have the customers, however I think a lot of customers weren't aware of Buell's existence.
