Doughnut - Thanks for posting my 'X'RS/S2 as 'coolest...' The bike is in Texas, now residing with what can only be described as a Buell "Enthusiast". Last I heard - he was, of all things, Riding it! I know how much you wanted it in your garage. I'm keeping all his contact info, and you never know - maybe it'll be available again someday when you're in the market. Al

IIRC It's a HyperPro... I think Al at American Sport Bike still stocks them. I sold that one awhile back and picked up a polished steering stabilizer. |

Don't think Jim will mind if I show off his.
The coolest bit is that the bodywork is carbon-fibre but you only see it in the black bits of the paint scheme, which are really windows on the weave. |

How does a clutch cable leak? Hydraulic clutch? Is that aftermarket? |

Duceater wrote How does a clutch cable leak? Hydraulic clutch? Is that aftermarket? Nope, either the fitting in the cover isn't tight or the "O" ring has had it. Simple fix. |

thanks for the compliments guys. that is the latest WileyCo pipe. i had their older carbon fiber pipe, and after drilling the rivets out a few times to check/replace packing the holes became too big to accept rivets. i contacted WileyCo and bought a new tube only, re-using my endcaps and packing. i would have had a long wait on another carbon fiber, so i opted for a stainless steel tube. leaky clutch cable is a bitch. thats the second one iv'e had, and both have leaked in the same place. (neither were new) i use the bandanna to wick oil away from cable so it doesn't get all over every thing else. "O" ring is good and fitting is tight. the cable leaks from were it is crimped to the fitting. i need a new one. the mirrors are Oberon. i really like the look but they are a little small to really have good vision behind. http://www.oberon-performance.co.uk/acatalog/60mm_ Bar_End_Mirrors.html |

matt, i got one of those new and they leaked. I got tired of it and got some heat shrink tubing and put it around the crimp. Also put some RVT sealant in there for extra protection. |

i got a brand new clutch cable from American Sport Bike and it started leaking the day after i installed it...the fitting wasnt crimped on correctly....your saying that shrinkwrap was a good cure for it?...my braided stainless sort of wicked the oil halfway up the cable and what looked cool for a day now looks kind of like crap...other than shrinkwrap and RVT any one have any fix...my problem is not the O ring either.. |

The only place where a leak can occur is at the primary where these cable threads in. I've seen people "crank" on these when installing a new O Ring, only destroy the new O Ring..... You only want to snug these up when installing. You problem will be solved. Then you can mail all of your HD shirts to Phillip.

no thats not the only place a leak can occur...the cable is not 100 percent sealed so if oil moves up the fitting a bit where the cable and the fitting meet. If the fitting isnt crimped on well oil leaks out..i know i havent destroyed the o ring. |

Why mine, of course. I seem to have few no recent pics of her in rideable condition. In street trim, minutes from being finished after much work In track trim, minutes after a highside She's ugly and always dirty but runs strong and handles better than any 12 year old machine should. |
