I pulled the trigger on a 09 CityX. I LOVE it. I would like a different seat however. I want to be able to move a bit more than the stock seat allows. My current experience, about 170 miles, has absolutely ruled out the low seat on the bike. Looks like I will be tippy toeing it at stops. Who here has experience with the different seats for the XB? I can't get a seat that raises the seating position above stock as I am already on my tiptoes at stops. The Streetfighter seat claims to have a more 'set back' seating position. Is this true? How do the Corbin seats compare? Thanks for your help. |

The CityX seat is the tallest seat available. The regular XB-S seat will be slightly lower and can be had fairly cheap. The Buell Select seat has some comfy gel. But it has the odd V groove in the passenger seat, which direct rain water down your crack. Still my favorite seat. I had a Corbin on my last bike. The padding is VERY hard. Supposedly it 'breaks in' or something. I was never too happy with how hard it remained. If I were you, I'd get out and ride with some other Buellers and ask them to trade seats for a bit. Any XB-S model seats will swap. |

Does the Select move the seating position back? What about the Corbin? I came off a bike that gave me more freedom to move on the seat and I want that back. |

The select seat pretty much locks you in. I like the position and the feel, so I'm happy with it... but there really isn't any moving around. |
