Hell, I can still buy a Norton basket case and find parts to get it back on the road riding in Moab. Buell is dead, Long live Buell.

No offense, but without an identity to put behind the statement it is as empty as if I said it. So unless Blake looks at that post and lends credence to the poster, it's pretty much meaningless. All that said I hope it comes from someone that can really make something happen and that these bikes are not really dead but just moving to another place to be manufactured. Blake please check it out and let us know if we can take this to sustain a little hope. |

Well then if it survives the weekend, I'll take it as hopeful. Sorry to be cynical. |

At first I was sad, now I'm excited. Either way I'm content as a Buell owner, yet hopeful something is in the works for future Buell motorcycles. The free journalistic coverage Buell is getting out of this is amazing and most of it is complimentary and supportive. Even my Buell bashing friends are supportive right now. Waiting.. and hopeful. |

Once you've settled into a Buell there is nothing else. It better not be over, otherwise motorcycle development has been set back 10 years. I don't mean the squeeze another pony through 600cc type of motorcycle development, that's taken care of. I mean the bits that make a bike ride. |

Well, I for one have already decided to go buy a second Buell tomorrow from my local dealer. I was going to trade in my XB12s for an 1125, but now im simply going to buy the 1125 and keep my first love as well.. I shiver with excitement at whats to come. |

I have a friend that is buying an 1125R at the end of the month and he is even more motivated now to buy it. He said its an awesome motorcycle that he was going to ride on the street and do track days. Now he said he wont do track days on it because it a collectors. i think we must stay positive. There is some good that must come from this. |

Buell will undoubtedly revamp and reopen in the US as he had opened in England and closed shop after Harley convinced him to jump ship and bring his expertice back to Harley Davidson. Go Buell |

Oh man I sure hope it's not over! I keep reading all the posts on the web about HD losing the younger market and I am here to tell you that is not the only market segment BMC appeals to. I'm pushing 59 and my XT and the XB9 low before it are wonderful motorcycles. They shared my garage along with my Dyna FXDXT and my wife's retro bonnie and then her Suzuki 650. She finally ended up with Blast and an XB12cg. The Blast,cg, and XT are still in the garage and on the road. The others are long gone. |

I hope it is not over too. I think the MoCo is run by a bunch of dumb MoFo who are just bean counters. There is the great possibility of a much different economic environment in the future than the past that will require the masses to forgo many luxuries. Lets face it for the most part Motorcycles are a luxury not a necessity. Especially a $20,000 cruiser with a 150 mile range. To base your whole existence on selling boatloads of a luxury items seems foolish. They need a lower priced more practical motorcycle to survive in the future. |

"It's not over." "Buell is dead, long live Buell!" And when the white smoke rises from the chimney, bells will peal and the cry will rise, "Habemus Buellam!" |

hmm, Buell light sabers. Wanted a light saber since 77. That would be EB-won. Now he can use jedi mind tricks on the chap wearers. "You don't need chaps, tassels and chrome" "You want a pink tutu and a Vespa"
