Loni. I feel your pain sister!! Computers SUCK!!!!! But hey, not all things that suck are bad. Anyway, shrinking it should not make it blurry it should make it better. You can download the Jpg optimizer from the Cool Buell Pics section and use it. It really is easy. Believe me, If I can do it a 3 year old Monkey could. In The Rain Forest, Bob |

Bob, after messing with the printer yesterday I got the logo printed out on a plain piece of paper a good size for the back of a t-shirt. But I now have a faint gray color in the background. Will mess with some more this weekend. Loni |

RaY2K is going to traffic safety school @ 8:30 Sat. morning. I was a bad boy. I'm very sorry I passed on the right and I'll never do it again, sir. I promise! Honest. Anybody want to ride to Astoria after 4:30 pm? That long straight road between Raymond and Astoria is a hoot. The local's along that road tell of wild, speed crazed motorcycle hoodlums on black sport bikes that have exceeded 140 mph on that road. Galen and I don't believe a word of it but that's what the locals say. |

Ray, these days there is so much that I don't belive a word of...hmmm. At first I thought you must be daft saying AFTER 4:30, but now I recall that the clocks HAVE changed their entire outlook. So I'm afraid I must be counted in. Counting the min GALEN |

Sorry Galen, I was a little out of the BadWeB loop today. <<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>><<>> Two things I learned in school today: 1) If a cop radars a whole string of cars, all going the same speed, the guy in the rear gets the ticket because "he's the easiest one to stop" 2) What if that string of cars is actually a group of motorcycles and the cop wants to pull the whole group over, but some of that group just doesn't stop? The ones that don't stop get away! "We depend on your integrity." Said the cop. I HATE the injustice of rewarding "bad guys" for being bad and punishing "good guys" for being good. The driver in front of the group is setting the pace and is the one most guilty of speeding and he gets away. The honest biker that stops gets the ticket. I know that nobody ever said life was going to be fair but still........... I don't know if I've said so in print or not but Lyle and I have desided long ago the if we are both stopped he's going to turn one direction and I'm going the other direction. Bummer for the guy that gets the ticket but we agree that one ticket is better than two. I just can't work up any respect for traffic cops. I've tried, I really have. I just can't do it. |

Ray, Too bad about your ticket today. Where were you and how fast was the pack going? As a HS teacher, I'm always reminding my idealistic students that life is just not fair, and its not a carnival either. (Some of them don't get the joke.) BTW, I plan to get out Sunday afternoon. I like the improvement in shifting and the cooler running motor now that the XB9S has synthetic fluid. |

Norm, (Lets get together for a ride someday but not tomorrow) & Mike I was all by myself, following a pickup truck that was going 20 mph in a 30 zone for two blocks with his left turn signal on. When he finally actually started to turn left I passed him on the right. No speed was involved, no wheelie, no noise, no nothing. My only sin was that I failed to see the cop that was following me and he (the cop) pulled me over and gave me a ticket for passing on the right. I may or may not have crossed over the right side fog line. Who knows? Maybe yes, maybe no. Was I guilty of the crime? Yes sir I was. I did, in fact, pass that truck on the right! Was the cop a prick? Yes sir he was! Did he lower my level of respect for the breed? That's hard to say. My level of respect for traffic cops was already pretty low but he certainly didn't raise my level of respect. Anyway, I paid $100 and spent one Saturday of my life going to Traffic Safety School rather than pay $86 for the ticket and deal with the company I work for (I drive a city bus for a living) and my insurance company for the next three years. It wasn't all bad actually. I learned a few things (see above) and came away with a story to tell. In itself, that might be worth the $100. Oh, one other thing that I learned today: Pay attention guys, this is important! Lane splitting (California style) is specifically ILLEAGLE in Washington. Don't even think about it. |

My experience with cops has been that they are usually distracted by admiring the bike if the bike has sufficient character and then they let you off with a caution. Oh wait. That jibe won't work 'cause you were on a Buell at Whistler. Oh, never mind! |

My experience with cops is both long in time and hard in truth. Ive been hassled for their fun, and hassled for my pain. Been lied to, lied about, cheated on, and pissed off. Sayin' it's your job don't make it right Boss.(Cool Hand Luke) I hope they are all counting on my 'integrity' BWAHAHAHA! burp The world is turning into a Nightmare where you can't pull wheelies or scare old ladies and I think we all have to stand up and scream 'we're all mad as Hell and we're not going to take it anymore!' I popped a little wheelie today showing off for my son, and one of my neighbors acted like he caught me milking his dog on his front porch. Can't we all just get along my ass. I gotta go take my blood pressure meds... sooner, GALEN |

It was raining earlier and is raining now. But in between I did a short 50-mile ride today. The Lightning is breaking in nicely. The syn3 fluid makes for better shifting and a smoother motor. That's a SOTP analysis. |
