Just curious if there is any plan in place to archive some of the useful information from the thumper forum on another site? There is some really great information here. I am wondering how long the BadWeb sponsors will continue to keep the site around. My guess is not very long. |

Good thought. Probably should ask Blake. I think we'll make it though. There will still be quite a few parts and upgrades to sell over the next few years. Hell, look at how many tuber guys are still active here, and purchase stuff from sponsors. |

The problem is that there is SO much info here and people have consistently through the years started a new thread every time they asked the same question or started a "new" topic (look at how many threads there are for "new Blast rider". Its a daunting task to keep everything managed and to archive it all in a logical, easy to find format, would be an intense endeavor taking a lot of time (basically you'd be writing a book). I have tried. Supply and demand. If membership drops off, then so will demand and the need for 'large' site (actual technical term eludes me) and advertising money. If the sites still busy, then there is still a reason to advertise. Or: no plan yet! |

Yes, it is difficult to navigate but the information is fantastic. I'm learning a lot. It could be much worse. Take a look at the XB board. I don't know how anyone finds anything there. I hope the forum is around for a long time. I'm gonna keep the Blast and maybe buy one for my wife when her health gets better. I think I've successfully talked her out of wanting the Ninja. |

I was thinking of tidying up the 1125 section, its at the stage the Blast section was when the Thumper section was in its beginning forums, doesn't seem that that will be a rush though now, heck I wonder if they'd let me do it - lol EZ |

Holy crap! The forum has to continue. I've learned so much already from everyone here. How will I ever be able to own an orphaned motorcycle without the forum? |

I'm with you on the holy crap - just used the combined knowledge to help me replace my tires (which was a minor disaster in some respects). Well, if it looks like BadWeb is going to fold I know that the domain names ThorsKeepers.com and ThorsKeepers.org are available. We would just have to align sponsors or figure out some other way to fund the annual fees. . . Plus, my BB programming skills are ancient so we'd need a technical adviser to get things running! Maybe we could really pimp the CafePress merch. . . But, if this is what happens - and I'd be really sad to see BadWeb go - I say we band together and make Thor's Keepers a bigger thing than it's already becoming. I have plenty of space on a server that is sitting in a 5 9's datacenter facility in Indiana. Worst case, we can move there. Free disk space and bandwidth. |

Having the TK's domain name would be cool, I dont have the money to spend on it though Badweb isnt going anywhere for awhile. |
