Like most here, I have felt like a cast aside lover, since yesterday. But that feeling changed an hour ago. I went out to the garage, to get my chainsaw. When I opened the door, it was there, just looking back at me. The bike didn't look like anything I have felt, since the news broke. It looked ready to go. It looked more aggressive than ever. It looked cool. It looked special. I realized something while just starring at it. Being a Buell owner is more than just the bikes. It is an idea, a fight, a passion, a community, and a privilege. I am lucky to have taken part. We didn't just buy a motorcycle, we bought into the company's idea of "Us against the world." Buell owners feel more connected to the company than any other brand. I don't know of any other brand, where the owners can say they hung out and rocked out with the company founder. I am happy that I bought into this idea. I am happy that I still have my Firebolt. It is one of the coolest bikes ever produced. Today, I smiled. And tomorrow I will go look at it again and smile once more. |

Let'er eat brother, let'er eat! Tomorrow I too will help a brother put a new belt on his XB12R and then I will ride my 1125R to a mostly harley event, just to stand out. I know that we Buell people ride one of the best motorcycles ever built! |

Word. I'm keeping my XB until the wheels and the engine fall off. (preferably not while riding)I think what Buell represents is who I am and want to be, and likewise many of you! Hats off for the ballsiest, most radical sportbike co. ever! |

I rode today and I think I saw more Buell's on the road than I ever have before. One on the way to work @ 5:45AM, then I went to the HD/formerly Buell dealer and saw about 5 riding to/from/around the dealership... everyone is coming out in force! I like it! I'm Pumped! I also test rode an 1125CR, and Uly since they are getting factory incentives and have cut the prices.. I may have another thing to smile about in the garage.. |

I was curious about a Buell because I thought it might make me a better rider. I test rode a Buell because it had twice the power and half the weight of the Sportster parked beside it. I had to test ride it again a second time to be sure that this was the bike I would keep for a very long time. That was almost 3 years ago. I am a better rider today because of my '06 XB12Ss and I believe this bike has saved my ass to avoid sudden hazards like sleepy drivers and pulled me through corners when coming in way too hot that I could have never survived on any of my previous steeds. It pulled me to a stop well ahead of the car pulling in front of me with the driver on the cell phone. I have had to tighten the side stand a couple times & replace six tires that's it. I still get weekly compliments every time I gas up. -From the guy in the P/U, Kid on the rice burner or the Old Lady appreciating some help. I got 68MPG on a 1600 mile road trip last summer to even stick it to the big oil companies. It makes me smile every time I ride and never dissapoints me. It clears my head. This bike does a lot and Erik and his mighty band of 200 folks in East Troy got it right. I am confident that the Motor co. will package up and peddle Erik with his independent way of thinking and his capable stand alone operation to some shrewd business man with vision who buys low and sells high. |
