I just posted this on Harley-Davidson's website. (It won't allow you to write "Buell" on there.) I saw it though, my statement part of the rotating banner at the bottom. "Freedom is riding on the American characteristics of innovation, power, agility and affordability. Freedom is found riding an XB Firebolt." I saw these other posts: "Way to clear all the real motorcycles off the floor today! Now there's more room for all those half ton garage ornaments!" "Ride that? I would rather let a rabid dog mount me. Buell, for people who actually ride." "You just lost the demographic you were trying to corner. HD lost all my business with the cutting of Buell." HAHAHAHAHA!! |

They're censoring all the Buell comments on the HD site and on their Facebook group now. I guess freedom means ignoring what the public has to say. |

Where is this, I just went to look and try to see if B.U.E.L.L. would pass the filters, or any other combination that gives the same effect. |

It's their "Freedom is..." marketing campaign. YOu can choose whatever harley you like and then post a statement which will appear on the banner at the bottom of the site. http://freecountry.harley-davidson.com/landing.php |

I never thought I would feel ashamed of an American company but they have taken this too far! I feel like buying 1 share of HOG just to be able to voice my opinion. |

Never feel ashamed? You must not be a Bank of America customer then. I'm just shy of pulling my account with them. And I'm sure I could come up with others right now. Seems to be the trend. |

I read on the other Buell site that HD might try to build their own sportbike. That would be a failure of epic proportions. |

No Harley Davidson ships archor for this kid! They haven't produced a machine in decades that did anything in AMA road racing. This year Buell 1125R wins AMA Sport bike championship and gets the cold shoulder from HD. Thanks HD, Eric should empty his desk in the parking lot, look for some new backers and start over. Guess HD needs to spend all their money on trikes and V-rods for the old folks. Since the average age of a HD rider is 48yrs old, they should be out of customers in about 20 years. My heart goes out to all the Buell employees who will be out of work very soon. Wonder if the execs at HD got a raise? |

HEY, I'm an old fart and ride a Lightning TT and early aluminized VRod. The only HDs I'd ever own. Their other stuff is boring and I'm not interesting in being part of the 'in' poser crowd. So don't assume when ya get old you'd buy HD. Before this I wasn't impressed. All I can say now is they are too stupid to give my money to. What's sad is I now own three vehicles of American brands that no longer exist. XB12STT, 69 442, 99 Olds Aurora. Is this country going to crap or what ? |

This really hits me where it hurts. I could have cared less if Chevy went under. I'd just sell my car for a Honda or something, but this. This is just up. |

Those left over '08 Suzuki B-Kings for 8 grand look better and better. Comfortable, fully adjustable suspension, identical weight to Sportsters and XR1200, 160 dyno hp, dead reliable, and no parts or service issues at ANY Suzuki dealership. H-D did this to themselves with their marketing/product strategy based on a hot economy. Now Buell owners will begin to see increasing hardship for support as the months roll by. Every few months another Buell dealer will drop off-line. |

I wish somebody could explain how this does us any good? Graffitti only marks your territory - as does urine. You think this is making any difference to Hardley? Think again. You are only firmly reinforcing the strongly held stereotypes of sportbikers being juveniles. Why the F*** would Harley have any regrets about ditching "THOSE" customers? Maybe re-think the UNDERSTANDABLE reactionary anger we're all feeling. |

Of course H-D could care less. That's why you can't post "Buell" info on their site. Not only do they not want to hear the chatter, they DARNED SURE DON'T WANT OTHER PROSPECTS TO KNOW THEY ARE A COMPANY THAT SCREWS OWNERS. What if next year they dump the entire V-Rod line? All those folks will be right where we are - looking square in the eye of sagging parts and repair support and machines that suddenly may only be worth 25% of the MSRP two months prior - while still having to fork out financing to H-D for the next 4-6 years. |

Newxb12ss, I believe that they're having an issue with the V-Rod sales as well and they've dump a huge amount of money into research and haven't been able to recoup that money, more likely they also drop this line as well.(just saying) |
