I'm a new rider on my 2nd bike. I had a Blast and learned on it. Now the XB12s. I have never had so much fun! I can't compair it to other bikes, but I can say I wouldn't buy rice, but not a Harley guy either. So You gave me my American rocket! I don't think I would've ever started riding if it weren't for this brand. Thanks! |

Could you please address the really hot rear cylinder which is giving me a 1st degree burn on the inner thigh. The upper frame near the weld by the seat is HOT to the touch. What is this doing to the fuel? 50+ mile rides at slightly above speed limit is where I am experiencing this problem the most. My bike is a XB12Ss 2009 model with 600 miles and no mods. Otherwise the bike is a hoot! |

Tim, your bike is still getting broken in and should reduce in temp after it is broken in. My Blast has dropped in temp even between 1,000 and 2,000 miles. |

Thanks Crackhead, just checkin, I use to own a Duc 900 SS and I really love this lil guy. My decision was 2 fold; get a torque monster as close or better than the last tire pealer and to help a fellow American keep his/her job! So far I am not disappointed- This forum is excellent as well. Best customer input I've witnessed for a product. |

Erik; I would like to hear you and the band play Hey Joe next week at Homecoming. Only if your arm is up to it. |

Hehehehehe. .. don't get him started . . . he and I started playing it one night and our lives were eventually threatened by our wives! Few songs that take me back to the 60's quicker! |

So finally got 1000mi. and took it in for the first service. Used Mobile 1 and a M1-103 filter. Also, as a deal closer, my dealer installed a drummer muffler. VERY noticeable power increase yet back fires coming off the throttle some (reminding me of an old school chopper). Still is warm on long stints to the right thigh but not HOT like in my previous thread. Still in love though! |

Make sure the seal is good where the pipes go into the muffler... Mine did that to, and I put up with it for like a year. Fixed in 10 minutes... R |

Well, now that racing and sportbikes are the only things that matter, I guess it's time for me to move on. I've loved every buell I've ridden so far and will probably always keep my eye open for another used one. Its a shame you can't appeal to the racers without insulting the standard riders. Good luck. |

Erik, I hope you ARE listening. Add my name to the long and ever-growing list of people who look forward to the day when Buell Motorcycles rises from the ashes. Best of luck to you, your family, and your team. |

I am sorry to see that H-D has decided to shut down the Buell line. Many other have put it batter than I can. I love my Stt and will keep it as long as I can keep it running. I hope to see the Buell brand back one day or another bike by you. All the best to you and the family in Troy. Mark N |

Erik.....Thanks for a truly great American company. I only hope I get to ride a future sportbike of your design that is totally free of anyone's input other than yours and those of your choosing. You Own The Corners. |

Just a suggestion for those who follow-this is a thread aimed for Erik's ears. Let's all keep this positive and show support for the brand, the man, and the team. Leave the HD/Obama/Santa bashing for the 13 million other threads going on right now. My .02, worth what you paid for it. |

Well, doesn't the latest HD news just suck... :^( And get this. I am a longtime Honda VFR owner - who was waiting for the new 2010 Honda VFR 1200 to break cover - but it's 591 lbs.!! Arghh. So I was down at the local Buell dealer and got a demo ride on a 1125R. Very impressed! I was actually considering it until I saw today about HD shutting down Buell. What a dumb, shortsighted decision. My heart goes out Erik, Court, and rest of the Buell family.... Cheers, E-Ticket |

I don't understand finance. Some people claim it's a good thing. It doesn't feel too good to me. If there's ever anything I can do to help, please don't hesitate to ask. I would consider it an honor. |

Erik, Your ideas and values brought me back to motorcycling. Engineering and design "out of the box" is what I do for a living, I saw that blazingly in your bikes. I love it. I liked your company value system, and the family you created along the way to build them. Owners dont promote the bikes because they are a trophy of "look what I ride", they have a true passion for them (as I do). Thank you for pouring your passion, determination, and vision into Buell. Keep your "extended family" posted as we will be waiting... we know you aren't done. |

Erik, You are Buell not the company but the person. As long as you are here anything can happen, you have made It through worse and came out in a better position. We believe in you. "In chaos there lies opportunity." Sun Tzu |
