Henry is off until the 22nd and I am sure Jamie was running around like a chicken with his head cut off today, but need to know about a swing arm conversion for our race bike. Need a pipe also but that can wait a few months. Is there anyone out there with a chain conversion for an 1125. Is it true that Henry's swing arm is the only game in town? hopefully I will catch him this weekend. before I spend another dime on my race bikes. today our local dealer had already stopped carrying buell. so being linked directly to a v-twin shop we called two others looking for parts. this is what we got." harley has told them since they are not buell dealers any longer they can not order buell parts that goes only to buell dealers" this is exactly opposite as to what was on the video of Erik yesterday. what goes? Harley is really screwing up stuff more than they said they would already in less than 24 hours. I dont believe them at all. especially after this mornings issues on getting a buell part. call around you will see the same thing. i called aprox 10 dealerships and got the same info. even 3 told me they are not allowed to do warranty work now due to they dont carry buell any longer. This is directly from management at these dealers. Ok I'm pissed as well as others. harley may not of lied but they are sure making things hard. especially when in a crunch for parts. I'm going Duck shopping for the future racing unless Erik pulls that rabbit out of his hat as stand alone.( I am not holding my breath) mike (Message edited by xoptimizedrsx on October 16, 2009) |

Mike: Your statement is inaccurate. No one at Harley-Davidson or Buell lied. Any authorized Buell dealer can do warranty work and order race parts. Court |

Xopti, Call liberty HD-Buell in Rahway New Jersey 732-381-2400, You'll have to pay shipping but they will get you the parts you need. Ask for Moose (parts manager). Even though there is a bar and shield on the building, it's staffed with Buell lovers and they will do everything in their power to help you get what you need, Guaranteed. I am getting parts from Gainesville Hd already. Paul has always got me the best deals and has helped sponsor our racing effort himself. I feel cheated like the rest. Court: I cleaned up the post. I feel screwed though by Hd corporate. please post any info as soon as you can on what you can. just look at all that wind tunnel time last month poof wasted as well as the data from the last track day. any work if the 1125rr will still run in anything or will it be dismissed and moved to museum pieces? arghhhh what a pisser |

one good question ? If a dealer no longer can get a bike to sell because they are gone and no longer has a buell to sell does it allow him to drop the line. If he does due to paperwork and stuff. As stated and confirmed that dealer will no longer be able to sell or get parts. what do we do then? some parts have to come from buell not many but some. once production stops fully HD should open the parts up to any dealer and make what they can. It seems mighty funny they dont allow all dealers to sell parts or even get bikes but when they crunch numbers they use every dealer and say Buell is not gaining. its like comparing apples to oranges which is not fair at all. no matter how you look at it. the offset is not taken in on the dealer ratios just as the offset on assosseries they allow for the bikes. to get a race only part from buell it takes a race licens. to get a Hd race only part it takes your credit card only and they install it then send you on the road. AE screaming Eagle parts. Humm some fishy dealings there. Hd always held Buell back once they got a controlling hand on it. they screwed Erik bad they should be ashamed. even a local dealer non buell today said its a disgrace what Hd did to ERIK after all these years helping them side by side. |

Erik Buell is a brilliant man and I'm sure he will do just fine with whatever his future plans are. I only had the opportunity to speak with him once and needless to say, he radiates with passion for what he does. I wish him all the best and I hope to have the opportunity to speak with him in the future. Mark |
