I think I'm gonna be riding my bike more conservatively... Don't want to wreck my "endangered" beauty... I also wanted to buy an MV Agusta within 10 years... I hope they will be around then... |

MV Agusta can suck my D too, fu*king Marinara-Guinea pigs. I thought this country was in a recession? You'd think HD would keep a fu*king AMERICAN company versus some Guinea pig bastards, I shit on HD and Agusta. |

I WAS buying a harley 883iron They can go themselfs now. What's going to happen with my "pre-paid service warranty" that cost 2k after 7 years.I'm still not sure what to do with my bike I love it but will not own something I can't get serviced or buy parts for.I would think dumb ass EB's blast advertising stunt may have contributed to bad advertisement/bad taste.I for one when I filled out my questionair from Harley stated the stupidity as I'm sure many others did. May give it a year then I may have to say goodbye to her but ill love her always......:-( |

Wow.. Buell is no longer "alive"? If HD is going to show "us" this kind of support, then I'd rather not be associated with them any longer than I have to. I'm going to miss my Buell so freakin much.. |

Well in many ways the Buell story has become fully actualized. The true bastard motorcycle has become just that. We didn't fit with Harley....didn't fit the "sportbike" moniker. I guess this is kinda a proud moment...we've become our most true selves....hooligans. The bikes that nobody wanted but us. We live on to thrash on them until their dying day. In many ways we hold a secret...that far less people will ever find out. We are special. I know for one I am gonna be a bit harder on mine in the next few months. Lean it in a little further....soak up a bit more corner speed...knowing that if I lay her down and bounce it over a guard rail in a canyon...that Allstate will buy me one of the last NEW ones ever made! |

Just goes to show; the people in those big $8,000 chairs only care about buying a $20,000 chair. you HD. |

This could be rather exciting. 1. Like Michael Hill said...2. Maybe some outfit that does "get it" will buy Buell. My real questions are like 'Does Erik own his name?' Can he leave the patents with H-D and start over? Will the Phoenix rise? Leo |

Pogue, I was thinking the same but more along the lines of the DeLorean. Great innovations with the car especially with aluminum. But to a company in trouble the drug sting that I believe was organized by one of the Big 3 was too tempting for a man trying to bring something better to the American people. |

Roy, The DeLorean wasnt really that innovative. It had a stainless steel skin and that was about it. I wonder what will happen to "Erik and the Thunderbolts"? |

If I had the money, I would pick up an 1125CR to go with my XB....For now I am going to relax. The weather is good. Going to ride the XB like I stole it... |

To add something I tried to post earlier..... With regards to Erik Buell...he will survive....mavericks always do. Whatever capacity he has at HD won't last...he'll end up with his iron's in the fire somewhere. Passionate people...with pride...and courage always rise above their circumstances. I am sure alot of people who work at Buell will as well. I wish I lived in WI...I would organize a Buell ride....just circling the HD headquarters.....for hours....loud pipes....a show of indifference. |

There are three 1125R and a brand new 1125CR at the local dealership, wish I had the money to grab one right now, all are $8000 or under. One of the 1125R is white and is brand new with no miles on it. Need to stop in and get a service manual for my 03 tonight before the stock dries up, it's almost old enough that they don't need to support it much longer. |

quote: I don't think Harley allows companies to buy their motors for use, unless they own a part of that company.
Randomchaos, that's not true. Roehr Motorcycles uses the V-Rod motor in their sportbike. |

Anybody want a beautiful 06 city X........ I just heard the news about a minute ago. I also heard they were not keeping MV but I know nothing as I just heard it. What a turn of events. Seriously if anyone wants a beauty of a city bike in blue let me know. I am a turn coat at heart and don't care to keep a discontinued line. |

"Where's the Buell bailout!?!?!" +1 this could be what buell has been waiting for with a bailout to bring them up and on their own away from harley. fuel in the frame, perimeter brakes, best handling bikes.. that should not fall |

My main concern is the value of my bike. Say next year, I get tired of it, will anyplace take it in as trade? Will I even be able to sell the bike outright for more than a few pennies? No collector is really gonna want it for anything, its got high miles, for a bike, and isn't in 100% condition. |

I'm also concerned about what will happen to the bike's value. What do people think? |

Don't feel to bad. Many of us just purchased bikes. We now have to pay for the bike over next few years knowing they have virtually no resale value. |
