WTF is all I can say!!! WHAT THE If they would have just sold the bikes at other sport bike dealers with ducati's and triumphs they would have been ok. Why couldn't they sell the brand! Again... WHAT THE |

Must really suck for the guys invested in racing the Buells. |

Yeah the worst part is that they didn't sell it off, instead just killed it. They should have sold it which would have allowed solo dealerships to pick them up and actually be successful. HD dealerships were Buells biggest problem. I mean just think of how many dealerships are around for Buells compared to other bike companies. There is one Buell near my house and at least 3-4 for every other manufacturer. |

Yeah the worst part is that they didn't sell it off, instead just killed it. It is hard to believe that HD didn't attempt to sell Buell. The fact that they are killing it instead means they either couldn't find a buyer or possibly indicates that HD feels Buell sales would cannibalize MV Augusta sales. So they just kill it to reduce competition to it's preferred product line. (Didn't really think of that before because it is a ridiculous notion, which would confirm my opinion that Harley doesn't understand their target market for non-cruisers.) If HD really does believe that nonsense, then I may be wrong in my presumption that an investment group would scoop Buell up. Yes indeed very sad.... We will have the privilege to own a piece of history. Not interested in value, but I have to believe that our bikes, will from now on appreciate some due to their rarity ??? I hope HD will provide adequate support and service. I will monitor this site more often from now on, and be on the look out for HD dealer abuse.....if any we should stick together, as the power of the pack is without limit.... |

this really just broke my heart...makes me even more sad that i sold my 05 xb12r. i had planned on buying another one down the road when the HD dealers got their heads out of their @sses and stopped treating buellers like sh*t.......guess there went that plan...maybe that rich guy who is trying to bring Indian back, he also saved Chriscraft and several other legendary brands, will buy the rights someday, and he and erik and start the next generation of buells, its looking like he's gonna do a good job w/ indian, other than the insane price tag, so maybe...just maybe.....ha but unfortunately a lot of dealers had trouble clearing out buells for the current price...so if that guy just likes high prices he'd be trying to sell the 1200s for like 25k and it'd be like buying a ducati or somethin |

WTF!? I can't believe this. I bought a 2009 Buell not 2 months ago and now I am hit with this! If service sucked before I can't imagine what will happen now. My question is... Do I own one of the last full production motorcycles made by Buell or just a discontinued bike? Is there reason to worry and stock up on parts like rotors, pegs, oil pump gears and other high wear items? |

Just bought a second used low mileage 07TT last week. Glad I did!! Parts shouldn't be an issue even after HD stops supplying them. I have a 37 year old BMW, getting parts for it are is not a problem. I have a friend with two 70’s vintage old Triumphs; again parts are not a problem. |

I cannot believe this still. What a way to wake up. Why isnt Eric taking off somewhere but "wilt continue to put his talent for Harley parts". I agree he should have made an effort to maybe become like confederate. I digress, dont want to judge,..the guys seems pretty beat down. this is utter crap. |

Well I am never buying anything from Harley again. Unless it is for my Buell. Good luck in a couple of years getting isolators, ZTL rotors, calipers, rims, and other Buell specific parts. |

Don't even have my old 03 on the road yet... Guess customizing it is now out of the question since it is a first model XB9R. Well all I can say is that this sucks in a big way! Hope they keep parts for my old machine for a long time so I can keep it going for a few years. For all the dealers that have bikes in stock there are two possibilities... #1 they sell real fast now so people can have a chance to get them. #2 they are stuck with them forever! |

I was happy as hell to be able to buy an American bike that fit my needs. For all the problems I've had with my '06 Uly I still love this bike. HD just spit in the face of America, what's next, outsourcing production of all their bikes to India or maybe China? |

HD legally has to supply the Buell parts for 7 years, as well as supply service, so that is a non issue. The places that dropped Buell before this though, might not have to, which kinda sucks. |

Maybe HD will license some of the things for aftermarket manufacturers like wheels and brakes so that we can at least keep things rolling. |

They'll take my XB9R from my cold dead hands. I'll make my own friggin parts if I have to, won't be caught dead driving anything but Buell and Ford. |

This is a horrible business decision and makes no sense. They are selling MV so why would they just kill Buell. Buell seems pretty self sufficient. They should just spin it off and let Buell ride on it's own. They just spent who knows how much on R&D for the 1125 models and won a racing championship and now they are just going to shut everything down. What horrible management. As some have said already, Buell isn't what is dragging HD down. If they want to narrow their focus, ok, but don't kill the brand. Spin it off. This really makes no sense at all and as some have said, HD will get no money from me. off HD!!!!!!!!!! |

Only problem with Buell separating from Harley is the fact that their #1 selling bikes, use HD motors. The Uly, and Lightning models are the top sellers. I don't think Harley allows companies to buy their motors for use, unless they own a part of that company. |

they didnt sell so chances are they're just trying to drive up the prices so in a few years the economy will be out of this sh*t and people will have more money to blow, and then they'll try to charge for em like they're a Ducati or something i dont get why they'll get rid of buell but they just bought mv agusta like a year ago? which sells more? my bet is buell, the mv agustas are gorgeous...but expensive as hell so i wouldnt think they'd sell as well |

This is serious shit man, how many sponsors/members did Badweb just lose? Is there still going to be a Badweb? This blows, this is worse than when I lost my ring finger, I mean my XB12S is my soul. You'd think after winning the effing AMA championship that Buells were going somewhere, progressing, becoming better than before, now I guess its going to the grave. RIP Buell. Long may Buells be rode. |
