Just my luck I buy a bike 3 months before they shut down the manufacturer. I thought service at my Harley dealer was bad now. |

I agree, owning a buell and seeing the lack of dealer support has completely soured me on Harley. Am so sad today. |

I was at Simi Valley Buell yesterday and about to buy a 2009 X12scg this weekend until I read about this. Good luck to you Buell owners and ride safe! |

Wow, I'm shocked, guess HD will never see any $$ from me anymore. . . They shut down innovation here and have already killed it at MV. |

How many 1125RR's were produced? I hope that there's still a racing effort in AMA Superbike next year. I was so looking forward to seeing Buell beat the big boys. |

I'd love to say that HD will never see another dime of my money but they will because i'll keep my Buells forever, and get more when I can. And unfortunately I'll have to buy parts from time to time. But if/when I am in the market for an American cruiser, my money will go to Victory. |

Well I just talked to the service department of my local dealership, and they told me that Harley said they would continue to do service and parts for 7 years. It's sad but it does make me feel better at least a little. |

Screw HD. Buell was bringing in money and HD was losing money worldwide, and what do they do? Instead of narrowing their inventory and cutting down on the overpricing of their product and service, they chop off Buell like it was a cancer. Winning AMA was huge and would have brought more attention and sales to the brand. I don't know what else to say... I'm pissed! |

Man, and I only just caught on to the greatness of Buells. I can't say I'm surprised, but I thought they would give Buell two more years. I think HD has wanted to pull the plug for quite a while, and the recession gives them all the more reason to call it quits. HD, and Buell too in my opinion, (I know - blasphemy to say in current company. Call me a troll or whatever) never really understood the target markets well enough to be truly successful. MV is actually a better fit for HD. It will be intersting to see how that goes. I suspect an investment group picks it up, though. Buell has a small but loyal customer base, amortized tooling and R&D, and a working product line that with a little tweaking would appeal to more customers than they currently have. I am not suprised...trying to sell sport bikes at a Harley dealership? It had to be an uphill battle for most dealerships...and they almost got into dirt bikes...really a dumb thought...Maybe my 06 ULY will be worth more as it is "not made anymore" "An American Classic"...Barrett Jackson here I come....Bid starting at 50K..... |

Just saw this, and it sucks. "Discontinuing?" Riiiiight...why don't they sell it off? Bombardier is said to be interested. I guess I'll stock up on a few parts now, since I'll never sell my Firebolt. |

Truly a sad day, indeed. I like others, will NEVER buy a HD, especially after this. Hopefully a profitable outfit with its eyes on the horizon buys Buell. |
