Hey Steve! Nice of you to drop in. Got the track pics and I owe you big for the mpeg of me getting by Keith going into turn 6. For those who don't know you... Steve is a fellow "senior" member of CMRA, but unlike me, he is seriously fast. The Buell sound transfers well to video! Thanks! Paul, Get your ass out here next Saturday and take the CMRA Racing School, you can race my Buell on Sunday. Air fare is cheap these days I hear. |

Blake, thanks for the offer but those race bikes are dangerous, and I might sail right off the track into the fans, and I couldn't live with that. Seriously, I have to go to sea again. We're going salmon fishing off shore. If things go well we might be gone for a while. The world of 8 kts. suits me fine. Don't run over any babies! (they can get lodged between the drive belt and pulley) Paul |

Court, Yellow jacket pearl S2 is standing by to ride shotgun with you for the NE part of the trip. Hell, if I had more vacation time this year, I'd do the whole damn trip. Gotta be backroads this time though, all those Interstate miles flat-spotted the back tire last year. oh, and I'd have a passenger this time |

Of course, you might not want to get as local as VT. Rt. 100; In that case, I suggest coming out of New York City and up U.S. Rt. 9 through Poughkeepsie (I love that name) toward Albany. Go East on U.S.Rt. 20 to U.S. Rt.7. Rt. 7's not as pretty as Rt.100, but it's still nice. You know, some of the most beautiful roads around are in New England. Hell, if could only win the Lottery, I'd do it myself. hmmmm, take a month and see some of the really beautiful places that I haven't seen yet, and some I have... |

Snail: Just got an e-mail that the word is out you are on "GO". Keep us posted, I am eager to see how the times compare for the current "super street" bikes as compared to Fran's old Boxer. Good wa to do it, as she did, was to have the desk Sergeant at the NYPD sign them out and not have the clock stop until signed in my San Fran PD? Court |

Just saw that one of the original Buell Bikes (i.e. Pedal) is up for sale on Ebay. Very cool looking, you can almost see the roots of the tube frame motorcycles here (though I don't recall which came first). Good pictures for the auction as well. Buell on Ebay |

Court, I'm pretty discouraged and ready to throw in the towel. Trying to have a little fun and I start getting blamed for everthing bad, I even created SARS or somehow am responsible for the war in Iraq. Maybe I should join the local Audoban society and start wathchg birds. The Soroptomist club are having tryouts for their spring play, I might be able to get a bit part in that as well. My Mother would be so proud. Paul |

>>>Court, I'm pretty discouraged Don't be. You stand out as a person, who in the past, has actually SAID and DONE things rather than just engage is idle bar talk. It distinguishes you. Your Mother would be proud. Court |

Snail, Either your sarcasm is very subtle this morning, or your skin is a bit thin and you may need some sunshine and salt spray to thicken it up again. Then again perhaps I've missed something as I've just been barely skimming the discussions lately due to other issues in the air. Take care, go catch a Salmon and cedar plank it on a bonfire. |

The Safest Time To Ride A Motorcycle The statistics are in and it’s true again this year. By some abnormal quirk of fate there really is a “Safest Time” of the year to be on our nation’s highways and byways. For reasons unexplained, it seems that the hour between 2:00 am and 3:00 am on the first Sunday of April is the safest hour of the year to be on the road. This was true again in 2003 as there were no accidents of any kind reported in a nation wide survey of police reports and hospital records. Good and proper statistics have been kept for over fifty years and with only one exception, that being the state of Arizona, that one hour of the year is virtually accident free on American roads. Statisticians offer no clue why the hour between two and three in the morning on that particular day should be safer than any other Sunday morning. An eerily similar, but less well documented phenomenon occurs in The United Kingdom and European Union on the last Sunday in March at the same two to three o’clock hour. France refuses to take part in the survey claiming it’s another U.S. plot to export American culture, and continues it’s stated goal of blind opposition to absolutely everything the United States proposes. Germany apologizes for it’s past involvement in such matters and says it just doesn’t want to be involved. |

Buells On TV, Just wondering if anyone caught the premier of the Fox TV series "Black Sash". Pretty bad series, but one of the actresses rides a Blue Firebolt. Nice to see the exposure on national TV. Bob |

Blake, any chance you'd share the video? I can host it on my slow-butt link. I love seeing any footage of a Buell especially if it has good sound. Thanks Matt |

Okay.....I'm digging through 9 shipping crates of photos looking for one and guess what I found? That's right, all 3 rolls of the PENTHOUSE photoshoot. Here are two from the first roll shot during preparation. For all you slimeballs who have been asking since I mentioned it and for those who thought I was pulling your leg. And the most amazing thing to me is.......that I got paid for doing thiiiiiiiiiis. |
